I went wedding dress shopping with my mum yesterday and she only had ' the moment'with a dress that I didn't. I had already fallen in love with a dress and had that moment with it again, but it is quite impractical for our day as it's a barn wedding and we're hoping to be having games and entertainment on the grass with picnic blankets and hay bales. I did have another 'moment' with some separates, but they are £500 more expensive! I'm soooo confused! Do I buy the less practical dress for the ceremony and buy a cheap dress for the evening? Or do I buy the separates which would be more pratical?

Vicky , buy the one you love and dont worry anout being practical! I m having a barn wedding reception with games and hay bails etc and wearing a fit and flate with a train, which i hope to bustle up, which is covered in embroiderey and lace and crystals!

Get the less practical dress and just go with it-its only one day :-) I don't even know if i can walk or sit in mine but I will put up with it for one day if I get to look amazing :-)

I am also having a barn wedding. Problem for me is the sample dress is too small so I don't know what it will look like in the right size. I don't want to struggle to move on my special day
