Please help! How do I go about getting a double barrelled surname. Can I just sign my new name on wedding certificate as normal or do I have to change it via deed poll
As far as I've been made aware, you still have to go via deed poll x
The same way you would change your surname after marriage.
You just need your marriage certificate as my married name is double barrelled you do NOT need to go through deed poll!
So do you set up the marriage certificate in your double barrelled name ??
You sign the marriage certificate with your normal signature and do what you want with your name after the wedding. Just need your marriage certificate not a deed poll.
You sign a marriage certificate in your maiden name. Your marriage cert doesn't actually record what your name will be when you are married. You can use double barrelled without a deed poll x
