Hi brides! We are getting married on a tight budget but I would like my h2b to have a nice suit (let's face it most of the wedding IS orientated around the bride so it would be nice for him to have a fancy suit) however we are struggling to find a made to measure/tailor made suit supplier to fit our budget of £300 or lower. Has anyone got any suggestions or pointers to help us out?
Could you buy a standard suit and then have it altered to be tailored? By already having the suit you should reduce the cost of the tailoring. Failing that individual tailors rather than well known companies will be able to offer better prices.
Hi Why not hire much cheaper.:)
Slaters do lovely suits!
https://www.slaters.co.uk/fellini-charcoal-tailored-fit-three-piece-suit
We hired it cost about 90 including waistcoat . And it fitted perfectly and looked amazing. Xxx
Victor valentine suits
Hire from miss bros... starts at £59 for a 2 piece suit
Fab suits in next, asos etc, get it altered if it needs it, should be much cheaper!
My h2b and groomsmen are hiring suits for £75 each and if hiring so many you get one free so hired 5 and the grooms is free!! Check your local tailors if you have one not just the branded one such as slaters we have one called Horace Barton and the service is so much better than branded shops xx
Hire shops, sell of old hire stock, you can buy full suits or just waistcoats. Check on eBay. good luck xxx

Formally yours is really good. Miss bros have some lovely suits to hire too.
We got my OH a shirt from itailor which is an online store and were really impressed with the result. You put in your measurements and you have a choice of material, colour, pattern, cut, length, style etc. Really good when all the usual suspects were too expensive or didn't have the right fit
My h2b suit is ted baker and was about £250. Looks very smart.

Don't know where you're based but these were Slaters. Branches over Scotland. Altered and adjusted beautifully for my boys.

Have a look in any TKMaxx stores you can. I went into one for something completely un wedding related and found a suit for my fiance. We had been looking everywhere for one he liked that didn't cost a small fortune and happened to find a perfect 3 piece Lambretta suit for under £100!!

My brother-in-law, Primark. It sounds bad and unglamorous but they make nice suits!
Moss do made to measure for about £320 I know it's still slightly over budget but if thats what you really want it might be worth a look for the little bit extra

We had a navy/royal 3 piece men's DKNY suit from Moss Bros 2weeks ago that included the DKNY shirt as well for £310, worth looking as they had a few designer suits at that price. Good luck xx
Next is brilliant for a selection of suits, also Marc Darcy. I would avoid Greenwoods at all costs, for a suit shop they were awful when we visited.

Not sure where you are but have a look at boundary mills if it's close to u we got our suits from there they have designer ones and usually have 20% off x
Slaters are a great high street brand that cater for all budgets and if you spend more than £100 they do the tailoring for free. My hubby and groomsman wrote different styles of their suits and all loved them, they looked amazing. Xx
We have just bought tweed made to measure suits from china. They are amazing! My h2b can be a bit of a snob when it comes to clothes but he said he'll never buy another suit from a shop

Try formally yours they do amazing complete suit hire for £57!!
Burton menswear.... Start at £99 and you own the suit forever. I found hiring a similar suit from other places was the same price as buying it, but you get to keep it if you buy instead of hire :-) even moss bros advised me that buying a suit from other stores would be cheaper than hiring from them! :-)
We bought my husbands suit from Jeff Banks in York Designer Outlet last year, it wasn't made to measure but the tailor there is extremely helpful and knowledgeable so should be able to find a suit that best suits his size and shape. My hubby is short and tried on a few he liked, none of which were right. The tailor brought one out and it was perfect! Great price too (3 piece plus a shirt for less than £200). This was a bought suit too, he didn't want to hire as he wanted to keep it like I kept my dress x
We hired 5 suits £600
Not sure where you are but Anthony's in Colchester, also have a branch in Brentwood I think it is and they were brilliant. We hired our suits but even though they are hired, they still do them to measure. Just depends if you want to hire or was looking to buy xx
My H2B, best men, both fathers and grooms brothers have all used Slaters, groom and best mens suits were £89 each 3 piece suits and tailoring/alterations were free.
