Where is everyone going for their honeymoon? We had really wanted to go to...

We are going on a weeks holiday straight after the wedding and then having a 'proper' honeymoon abroad next year when the season is better and we have more annual leave! Haha!

We are going to Tuscany. Beautiful part of Italy. We are going a couple of days after our wedding.

Why don't you go on a minimoon somewhere straight after your wedding and then go to the Caribbean as planned in say March when the weather is better? I think it might give you something else to look forward to as well rather than all the excitement of wedding and honeymoon being over at once :)

I've been to the Caribbean twice in September (Mexico at the start of the month and Domincan Republic at the end of the month) and the weather was fantastic!

I did Antigua in September and the weather was fantastic.

We went to santorini in October and the weather was stunning. Really warm in the day but a bit chilly at night. It is the most breathtaking place I've been and the views are incredible. We went to a wedding at the rocabella hotel which was incredible...

New York for us (hopefully) x

Croatia was our second choice! We've picked Rhodes! Again it was the wrong time of year for Caribbean.

I am going to Hawaii in October, its meant to be the best time to go

One of my bridesmaids is getting married a week later so we are not going on honeymoon straight away :) As others have said, maybe do a mini moon, we will be going somewhere like Brighton for a couple of days straight from the wedding then honeymoon in Thailand later in the year or maybe even next year :) Santorini is amazing though if you did want to go there. Best holiday I have been on, so much to explore as the island is so small and so many gorgeous views. We stayed in Perissa which has the best beach and is the cheapest area. Too many other amazing things there to list but highly recommend :):)

We went to Mauritius it was amazing would definitely recommend it. August and September is the perfect time to go. xx

Lanzarote for me and my h2b bought a deluxe package gets you a queen bed sea veiw room service bathrobe and slippers separate area around pool with cushioned sunbeds waiter service round the pool international brand beer and wine and separate resterraunt did this as me and my h2b don't like flying far there is always some where to go as long as you are together and happy that is all that matters x

We're getting married in September. We had our hearts set on Santorini but when we went to the travel agents they strongly advised against it as its raining season so we've booked Mexico which we also loved the look of X

I went to Santorini a couple of years ago and it's beautiful. I'd definitely recommend there x

We did Malaysia and Bali at the end of October- weather was beautiful!

We might go to Chile for our honeymoon if we get married in September/October. It will be their summer at that time and apparently it's lovely :) (H2B has family out there so knows it well)

I went to Croatia in August which is where we got engaged. The lady we stayed with said that the season really dies down from September and the last few days we were there wasn't great weather. We went to Vietnam for our honeymoon the following August and chose where we went carefully to get the best weather as Vietnam has different climates. We've also been to Mexico in August and whilst its hurricanes season I think we actually had better weather then than when we went last year in may

We can't afford a honeymoon straight away but we wanna go to Iceland in a year or so. Japan is our dream destination, but waaaaaay too expensive!

What about Italy? Amalfi, Tuscany, Sorrento and Venice are all lovely places. Rome is also amazing if you're in to that sort of thing. Could have a day in Capri which is stunning. I haven't been to Santorini but have been told it's amazing x

We went to Cuba in September. Nothing wrong with the weather and it a lot cheaper to go there than most of the Caribbean.

We went to Costa Rica in August. The hot season starts in October! But it was hot in August over 40degrees! If you love wildlife and nature it is definitely the place to go. The picture is from the hanging bridges in Costa Rica 🇨🇷

My partner and I are getting married in May but we want to do India for our honeymoon and the summer months is the wrong time to go! so we are going away for a few days after the wedding then booking our honeymoon for the following year. 🐘

We got married in September, we went on a safari in the massi mara. It was awesome!!! Weather was great too!

We are driving around Europe in a camper can for a month. Just wanted something a little different.

Santorini is absolutely stunning!!! We had our Honeymoon in October 2015, 2 days after our wedding. We went to Crete for 10 days but did a day trip to Santorini. The temperature was always between 22 - 28 degrees!

I'm doing Mexico in September. Was doing Mauritius but hotel shut for refurb and the hotel he put us in was the windy side of the island. What about Aruba? It's Caribbean but under the hurricane belt. Bali? Sri Lanka? Cape Verde? Thailand? Seychelles?

We have the same issue we are getting married middle of December next year and my partner wants to go to the Caribbean and I want to go to the Maldives but are worried about temperature and weather. I suggested going late January being of February but my partner wants to go right after the wedding so we would be away over xmas and new year which again bumps up the price. Anyone been away late December early January? We want it to be hot!

We risked going to the Dominican. We got married on 24th September last year and flew out within a few days. We went for 2 weeks and was aware that it was the wet season but had heard of a few people that had been that time of year with no problems. We had rain but it was through the night. You never knew it was raining as it was completely dry when you got up the next morning. The temperature was always hot aswel. x

The weather in sept in Jamaica is good

We are get married two weeks tomorrow and are headed straight for the Dominican Republic 2 days after . This is the start of the wet season bit have friends thatwent around the same time and said it only rained at night and it's very humid during the day. We also looked at Cape Verde but believe it or not it was a lot more expensive and we're getting less for our money. xXx

I'm also getting married in september and we are going Gran Canaria for two weeks all inc two days after and works out the same price for a week in the Caribbean would rather be away longer x

We went to Grenada in Caribbean in late September early October 2016 and the weather was fine. There was one evening of rain but the rest was perfect beach weather. If you want to go, take the risk!

We're going to Cyprus because it's still quite warm when we get married in march I would imagine it would be the same in September but I've been told there lots of lovely sights to go and see if you want

We got married last August and we are off on our Honeymoon next week. A week long cruise around the Mediterranean. Stopping at Malta, Croatia, Venice and Ravenna. Can't wait. xx

I'm not really convinced about some of the advice you've been given regards the weather! The 'rainy' seasons are nothing more than guidelines based on past experiences. It can rain anytime, trust me....and no travel agent worthy of the name would try to predict it!! However, there are places that tend to have reasonably consistent weather patterns......it all depends on the type of honeymoon you want( I'm guessing hot?! Beaches?!....) . We are getting married at the end of september, Caribbean and Asia weren't an option because of the weather. We are doing a 7 day tour in Madagascar and 7 days in Mauritius

Santorini is lovely we were there for a friends wedding sept gone and weather was great!x

We are getting married in October in St Lucia, the weather will be amazing.
Lots of people think because it's rainy season in certain country's they shouldn't go but we find it the best time to go. We went to Thailand in rainy season no rain and less tourists

We get married in August and are going to sorrento and amalfi, can't wait! X

You could try Barbados, it isnt on the hurricane line. We went in July/August and it only rained once during the day for less than 10 minutes.

We are off to Mauritius

We wanted to go back to Mexico but other half wouldn't go in September. We've booked a week at the lake resort in Vilamoura! Can't wait! X

we went to the Domincan Republic in October one year, it was glorious! we did have a few spectacular rain storms but they were over so quickly, the rain dried up in no time at all - fabulous holiday
other than that we honeymooned in Cape Verde - litterally sunny all year!

Thailand ️

We are marrying in August and there are quite a few options. We are going on safari in Africa and then to Zanzibar but other options are Mauritius, Seychelles, Bali, Sri Lanka amongst others.

Also getting married in September & we're off to Turkey! We love the country & was our first holiday abroad

Aruba for Caribbean

We're going to Cape Verde islands in October where it will still be lovely and warm so sept will be perfect! Xx

Santorini is stunning and a must having been twice and will defo return in the future we would have had our honeymoon there sept 2016 but had only just been the previous year so went to Rhodes. Going to Mykonos for our first anniversary xx

Croatia is amazing! I go to Rovinj year after year and it's wonderful - there is a range of hotels depending on your budget - the town is beautiful & the sea will be warm in September!
You can have a day trip to Venice x

You should look into Aruba, we went for our honeymoon in July but the weather is pretty much the same all year round! Picturesque place and the people are so friendly!

Got married in September last year and we went to Cuba in October. The weather was beautiful. Even with the hurricane it didn't touch us weather was easily 30s to 40s. X

We are going to Sri Lanka, get married on 8th September and fly out on 13th. The weather is averaging 30c

My mum got married in Dominican in September said weather was hot she came back really brown

We're going to Aruba in July after we get married. It's the Caribbean but outside the hurricane belt so the weather is 28-30 degrees all year round and anytime of year is good, it looks amazing, we can't wait

My fiancé proposed to me in Croatia last her so we are going back there two weeks after our wedding this August. It's so beautiful and is like Italy only without the price tag! We went to Split and Trogir...lots of castles and lovely marinas...it's very romantic xx
