Anyone got any good DIY wedding ideas? Can be related to anything wedding apart from the dress already got that sorted, I'm wanting to DIY as much as possible!
Have a look at www.somethingturquoise.com it has some amazing and really unusual diy ideas for all aspects of your wedding, I only found it this evening
Pretty much all my stuff is DIY. I made my own invites - cost £30. I've made my own button holes and flower girl bouquets (we're getting married in Gibraltar so didn't want to waste money on flowers), I've made my own lawn games for the reception back in the UK, I am in the process of painting everyone's names onto pebbles to use as their name cards. Still got to finish waxing the wood for the centre pieces (my parents had a fallen tree cut and I nabbed a load of wood). All the things have saved a lot of money and have been great fun to make - I'm not particularly creative either! Check out DIY wedding things on Pinterest for loads of easy, great ideas!
Pinterest is amazing for ideas it literally has any idea you can think of! Ebay is fantastic for getting pretty much eveything, Hobby Craft website is so good. One DIY thing I've got for my wedding is this- i think it'a gone up to £2.49! So I have bought some ribbon and jewels from ebay and going to decorate is as my post box
Made my own centerpieces they cost me £20 for all 6 :) also making my own invitations and all the other stationary plus the buttonholes and bouquets
Im making EVERYTHING I possibly can.
We are a crafty family so should go smoothly. :)
I went to Ikea and got lots of crafty bits and pieces.
Our wedding is very low key and is being held in a vintage open barn so very simple and country.
It helps h2b is a tree surgeon so we have access to lots of wood too.
I have made wedding favours, little metal buckets with a tea light in with a message asking guests to light it on our first anniversary. Made all my 'will you be my bridesmaid' gift bags
H2b is making our wedding cake stand from wood...
We are not even doing it to keep the money down... i just think its a tad more personal and so much more 'us'. But keeping prices down is a bonus too! Xx
I made all our flowers/buttonholes, favours, order of service cards, save the dates, personalised hangers for the dresses, table plan and table numbers. I also bought lots of other things for the temple where we were married and decorated it myself - balloons, wicker hearts, bubbles and chalk board signs. EBay was fab for pretty much everything. I'll attach some photos.
I've made my own light curtain and I've made my own napkin rings with curtain rings spray paint and a bag of gems I got
I've made my own save the dates, also doing invites (day & night), table plan, tables names and name cards. Also done my own flowers, button holes and re-vamped my sisters wedding shoes. Also want to have a go at making my own indoor & outdoor wedding signs. Hobbycraft is really good for materials and good prices too!
At moment making my own bunnting make all my invites and order of service favour boxes

Get on to Pinterest. There is an awful lot that you can do yourself. I have done a lot myself and have only outsourced the really big things such as catering, flowers, photography... the one thing I would say about doing a lot yourself, certainly where any crafty is concerned, make sure you allow for practice, which may end up costing you more money and causing more stress, especially if you're a perfectionist! Allow yourself plenty of time too and it can be very time consuming.
Wer makin our own invites, table decorations, favours, flowers amd im considering makin some custom shoes xx
Holly we used these cases for our wedding and have some left over if you wanted to use them??

Table vases made out off pint glasses with artificial roses inside we put waterbeads and submerged lights inside looked lovely xx
Make your own table plan, it's super easy... writing the seating plan however is much harder 😂

We made lots ourselves!
The photo isn't fantastic but this was our "guestbook". We framed all the tags at a later date :) The wicker basket was for all of our cards/ gifts. Our guest book was a huge mirror, I wrote everyone's name on it :)
I'll add some more photos in comments :)

I made my own invites. Save the dates, favours, cards box, candle holders out of jars, made own bunting managed to save loads on things like that. Think my invites cost me like £20-£30 for the card, envelopes and glue and string. Companies were asking for like £200-£300.
I've got most of my bits from Amazon xx
I made my own invites, place cards, table plan and cake. I also dried my own rose petals for scattering on the table. I bought bags of sweets, glass jars and did my own signage for our sweet buffet and gave my venue instructions to set in up. I also printed out stickers and stuck them on the sweet bags and cake boxes. I would say that white having DIY things at your wedding keeps costs down and add a lovely personal touch it can add a lot of stress so I'd say concentrate on things you can do in advance of the day.
I can help you for your wedding I graduated in public relations I know how to plan a wedding
It's do-able, my wedding was last week and I didn everything and got so many compliments. I done all of our stationary, welcome area, guest sign, centrepieces, sweets for candy cart etc - I just collected candle holders, vases, jars etc but used a florist still but even still you can get gorgeous artifical flowers xx
For our wedding, we saved on the flower and food budget to save some money for a cool band. For flowers, my ushers collected flowers from a local meadow and arranged them in empty gin bottles from the stag do. For flowers I cooked a bigos as a nod to my wife's Polsh heritage.
Invites, cake, bunting, favours, table decs, place cards and bar. Did as much as possible on a budget. Good luck xx

I have made hangers for my bridesmaids. I'm in the process of making the table names which was jam jars with fairy lights and the name. I have bought lots of things at auctions and on eBay to make decorate with, my favours are tea cups filled with sweets. And I went to a boot sale at the weekend and bought teapots to put the centre piece flowers in which I'm also going to do myself.
