Hi I have been engaged for over a year so the simple answer is, pick your wedding venue! A lot of venues offer wedding packages so you an exactly what is included and what you have to get as extras. When you put your deposit down get your invitations out giving everyone enough time to reply so you have exact numbers! Once you found your dream venue it's then your wedding colours. I started off buying the bridesmaid dress so I could match the colour exactly for groom's and grooms men's ties, flowers etc. Look at photographers, djs and cake companies (if they are not included) and as above once chosen you are well on your way to your big day. There are lots of bride checklists out there so print one off and it goes through step by step for the months leading up to your big day. This helped a lot!
