We're having a civil ceremony and wondering if we should have an order of service booklet for during the ceremony. Would we give one order of service booklet to each gurst or one per couple?

One each so your guests can keep them x

Not sure about the civil ceremony aspect as we had a church ceremony, but we did one between two plus a few extras e.g for the vicar or if there were odd numbers in pews. Loads of people leave them behind anyway so it just felt like an expense we could avoid by not doing one per guest. Entirely up to you though

I think it's only the church you have these.. because of hymns etc - civil ceremonies are a lot shorter

Im doing every other person but its in church. Civil ceremonies wont need one i dont think, too short and no songs generally need singing!

I don't think u need one, unless u want one. It's just an added expense. If u are going to do it u probably need one Per guest X

I'm not having one, I'm having a registry office wedding and then down a club. But if it's all in one place, you could just make a big notice (like a seating plan board)as people walk in so they know what's happening

We had one with our names, date etc, the two readings we had and the wedding party x

I would be one of the people who would leave it on the chair at the end, because I would honestly have no use for it afterwards other than taking up some space in a dusty drawer with the 5 year old Xmas cards....

Plus, I went to a wedding last weekend, it was a civil ceremony & it literally took less than 15 mins.. & that was with somebody doing a lengthy reading halfway through... so i really wouldn't bother unless you're purposefully trying to waste money somewhere.

My sister is doing mine but everything is at one venue. She's going to make an 'order of the day' rather than just for the service.
