Hi, We're going to ask for vouchers as wedding gifts (should people wish to gift) but are unsure how to do it. I've looked for poems but all I've found are money poems for honeymoons. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks x
?
We hope that you can share our day,
Filled with love and laughter.
To watch us start married life,
And support us in the years after.
We hope you're not offended?By this small request.
But if you wish to give us a gift,
Then vouchers would be best.
We have something in mind,
That we hope you can help towards.
So vouchers would benefit us greatly,
It is all we wish to ask for.
Thanks ! X
Victoria Louise Bithell xx
I've seen some on amazon
Rather than do poems why not just put that.
Whilst your attendance at our special day is all we require as a gift, if you wish to get us something please can it be vouchers to be put towards various items to help with our future.
This is purely my opinion but I find the poems tacky. We put something similar to above and everyone loved it because we said we'd just like them to be there but if they wanted to they could and to get in contact.
we just asked for vouchers when people asked us what we wanted. we'd lived together for over a decade and had everything you traditionally need to start a home, which is what the wedding list is all about really, but a new branch of a high end department store had just opened near by and we could never normally afford to shop there, so it was our way of having a real treat and finding something really special to remember our day. :)
your prescence is present enough however.....
Look on eBay there are voucher poems on there or you can word it yourself
We've done a poem but I would recommend gift2us.co.uk as they are a donation type website and then you can take the whole amount on a gift card to so so many shops, online shops and including travel agents. I'm not an agent for them or anything! They are just brilliant. It's all insured and doesn't cost anything unless you want to take the donations out in cash form (when they charge you 10%) but for the vouchers it's free.xxx
