Does the father of the bride wear the same suit as the groomsmen? I don't...

Does the father of the bride wear the same suit as the groomsmen? I don't know whether that's the case, or he wears his own suit and maybe the same tie to show he is in the bridal party? Or just wears the button hole to match in?

My dad didn't wear the same suit, he wouldn't have felt comfortable in the suit that the groom, bestman & grooms men wore so I told him to wear his own suit. He did wear a tie the same colour x

My father will be wearing our family tartan and my h2b and bestman will be wearing military no.1 uniform so they won't be dressed alike. They will all have the same buttonhole though as part of the wedding party. Does that help? Xx

My dad wore the same as the groomsmen (and my husband's dad), however I have 4 siblings who got married before me and he wore his own suit to all of their weddings and that looked absolutely great as well.. just ask your dad what he would feel most comfortable doing and go with that :-)

I think we are going to go for the groom, groomsmen father of bride and father of groom all wearing the same. Our sticking point is my mums long term partner as I'd like him to feel part of the wedding party and wear the same but not sure yet. X

I think it looks really nice if the wedding party are all in the same suits but everyone is different! Perhaps ask your dad what he would feel most comfortable with if you're not sure?

I would have him in the same suit as he is a big part of your day and the photos would look better with him matching.
