Has anyone dried their own rose petals for confetti or do fresh rose petals work better or look better in the pictures.. does anyone have any pictures of dried or fresh rose petals in their confetti pictures? Just really want an amazing confetti picture and I want to make sure I do it the right way.. our venue only allows flower petals Thanks ????
Why not buy them, they aren't too expensive and i would have thought it is cheaper than buying the fresh flowers to make your own?
I had some flowers at home which when i was binning them the dried petals just fell off looking like lovely confetti. That was done accidentally so i wouldn't have thought its that difficult.
I'm drying out my own, have had people give me their old flowers but it's been a bit slow, I've got one jar nearly full but I may have to buy about 500g just so I have enough :)
I'm making my own. I buy sale priced flowers, put them in a vase until they start to drop and then dry the petals. I am also collecting garden flowers. I'm keeping them in a zip lock bag and adding a bit of lavender and rose oil so they smell nice. Hope this helps.

These were some of our confetti shots! We dried our own rose petals from in our and my parents garden, and some from my auntie too! We the. Added dried lavender which we brought. Everyone got a cone full to throw! I love the photos and it smelt amazing! I had so much lavender down my dress though....!
We had dried petal confetti in little organza bags, one for each guest, x
We had a mix, a lot of people brought their own. This is a different angle but we had an amazing confetti shot xx
We collected different types of petals from friends and families gardens. This made it really special and we put it in hessian bags with a note on saying whay we had done. We even pinched some from a park when went to France. You just put them on kitchen roll on a baking sheet and put them on the lowest temp in rhe oven. Keep your eye on them. You can also keave them in the sun but takes longer. Our confetti photos were fantastic
Not the best photos but there easy to do x
I am currently drying rose petals for our wedding. I asked everyone who got flowers for Valentine's Day to save them for me and we have got loads. The issue with fresh petals is that they may start to wilt before you get to that part of the day. I can't show you any pictures of what it may look like but have been to lots of weddings where dried petals have been used xx
My mum did them for my wedding and my sister's. She put petals in a basket in the hot water tank cupboard. She used roses and hydrangeas, a whole mix
Not the best shot I had but my mum made confetti cones with dried petals in our colours. They smelled amazing and looked so pretty. Plus the venue was happy as they didn't want artificial confetti. Took a long time though she was drying out petals in the airing cupboard for months! Was well worth it or the photos.
We brought dried flower petals, roses and a few others in our colour theme from eBay, smelt lovely!
We bought ours online, think it was from Shropshire petals, they had lots of choice so was able to match my colour scheme! ️
We brought dried rose petals off ebay and i dried a small amount of petals from my own rose bushes in the garden. they were super cheap online and I made my own little cups using paper lace doily things again off ebay they were really cute! I will say though..... whilst people were throwing them they went EVERYWHERE and they are scratchy and not nice i had half a ton down my cleavage thanks to a bridesmaid and groomsman lol. To this day i have some rose crumb stuck in my dress lol. Looks pretty but i dont think i would do it again.
Here is a photo they did look really lovely
I bought real dried petals off of eBay that were beautiful. I bought a big box of them and made confetti cones
I bought mine from Shropshire petals and they were amazing. You can pick which petals and colours you want
Where did people get theirs from?
