I've just signed up to Savoo.co.uk and there's a link for 15% off vistaprint. They donate money to a charity that you can choose if you use their link. PS I don't work for them

That is a lot. You can get good invitations on amazon from small wedding stationery businesses. There is someone called Wedding inspirations that I used,Was £7.99 for 20 invites .I also got save the dates by same person who did invites .We made our own table plan using a Mirror we got from the range for £8 and just bought cards and ribbon and jewels to decorate it. Table names made myself using printed cards and stuck ribbon on them. You can buy RSVP cards lovely glitter ones from card factory. It will definitely be cheaper doing as much as you can than what you have been quoted.

My invites alone with accommodation and gift list cards came to around £550. I think it can be really varied! Mine are laser cut with custom printing and were cheaper than some other companies I looked at. If they are printed etc I would say thats pretty reasonable for everything. :)

I made my own invites (120) for £50 and designed an RSVP card which I then got printed with Vistaprint. £24 for 120 custom postcards with our address printed on the reverse. Signage I am doing myself as well, it is easy to design something on the computer.

I got 70 invitations, 50 menu's, 70 rsvp cards all with envelopes from Vistaprint - cost £108 including delivery. Quality was great and arrived very promptly X

So Far I've only done save the dates but have connections with printers due to my job as a designer, so i designed my own and paid £18 for 100 Save The Dates, which was too much so will need less invitations. So all our stationary should come to under £50 by my estimates.

£342 sounds cheap for all that.

I got all mine of eBay for about £250 for invites, table plan table number, post box guest book place names and save dates

I ordered mine from ebay, they were pretty and had ribbon etc on them but were basic in that they didn't have any inserts or anything inside, when u opened them they just said whose wedding it was, what date it was, where it was being held & to rsvp... They were £90 for 100 (I really didn't need 100 I don't know what I was thinking) and paid about £15 for my evening invites. My table plan and place names etc was a lot more expensive though. I would do table plan and place names and table numbers yourself, I was going to but left it too late.

We made our seating plan in a wine crate (wooden) with string pegs and paper. It looked so cute! Cost about £2! Save the dates were £18 and invites were £30 (50 of invites and about the same save dates) made a welcome sign from wood ourselves. Had a couple of cards for sweet table and stuff from Amazon. About £10 for all inc A holders and table numbers we did ourselves too. X

I had a quote of £370 for just invitations!! I laughed and made them myself!

I used Papier and have been getting my things individually (I got invites and envelopes then inserts, then RSVP, then table numbers. You can get £5.00 when you refer a friend too so I have used to so that my fiancé can buy the next lot of things. For signage I have been going on Etsy. Both of these options work out less that that!

That sounds cheap for someone who is doing it for you....I remember being quoted nearly £800 when i looked into it....as you can imagine I decided to most of it myself!

Thanks so much for the replies everyone! My wedding theme is art deco/great gatsby so wanted to incorporate that into the invitations and stationary. I've sent a design off to vistaprint to try create for me as I'm hearing vista are the way to go.
I've looked at papier and their designs are nice but not what I'm looking for.
I don't want them to cost a fortune as I'd rather spend more money on my guests but then I don't want them to be cheap and done on a printer at home as I believe it sets the tone! I'll keep shopping around but thank you so much for the recommended sites!

It really depends what you're after x If you're looking for something like foiled invites they can cost a lot (£400 depending on quantity). It took me aaaages to find some I liked and I went for a lady who does something called 'digital foiling', which is considerably cheaper. All in for 25 day, 25 evening, 35 RSVPs, 35 info cards and 50 envelopes it was just a shade over £200 and they are amazing. From The Golden Letter (Zoe) xx

UKbride Administrator 23 Mar 2017

That's really reasonable. Some of the quotes I got were £650 just for invites and save the dates!

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 23 Mar 2017

Is that's for an independent person so hand make them all personalised for you. Then I don't think that's a crazy amount, as making my invitations took hours, with help! But if it's a company who can print them all out professionally etc. Then yes I think that's alot of money and take the advice from the other ladies x

UKbride Administrator

Thats dead good! My invites were £550 x

I'm not sure where you are based but I would try K Designs wedding stationery! She is lovely and her work is amazing and very reasonably priced xxx

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 23 Mar 2017

That's really reasonable I remember paying quite abit back in 2013 when I got married...

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 23 Mar 2017

That sounds about average. Prices depend on finished and delivery. I'd say overall it's very fair xx

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 23 Mar 2017

If it's all hand made its probably a reasonable price (I made all of those myself and it took me many many hours) as you have to factor in the time, but you can get others from the likes of Vista print if you're on a budget x

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 23 Mar 2017

Ours was about £900 x

UKbride Administrator

That's not bad! I was over 400 just for day and evening invites.. 45 of each!

UKbride Administrator

I got mine from a lady on Ebay www.place-cards.co.uk. They were lovely laser cut invites and reply cards. I made my own Save the date ones, got a free design on Pinterest. and made my own place cards from Hobby Craft (again laser cut) save the date scrolls as it was in castle and for the table plan, I used a frame from Ikea some lace and got my print room to print the names on cards and cut them for me, added some lovely foam roses to the frame.

It depends on whether you have artwork prepared or want it made and the type of material you want. Give Orbital Print a call 01233 211206 or an email [email protected]
and they can help x
