MEMBER REQUEST Hi everyone.im stuck. Been engaged 12 months and getting married August 2019. The thing is, we are trying to keep costs down for the wedding. the guest list is low but most of the people coming are on my h2b side.i only have my stepdad and brother, as my sister is my bridesmaid.(sadly lost both parents recently.) But I don't want to seem like a lonely pathetic bride with nobody sat on my side.but feel cheeky asking some of my h2b side to sit on my side.has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you deal with it please. Thank you.xx
You could just say pick a seat not a side
mix everyone up! after all you are getting married and joining the families. Pick and seat not a side is our table plan!!!
Have a notice that says pick a seat not a side, thats what im having because my h2b hardly has anyone there too
Use a round top-table instead of being sat on a straight table, looks great and means that everyone can talk instead of being restricted to the person either side of them??
Thanks everyone. I do apologise.i should have said for the ceremony as we are not worried about the reception as we are going to tell people to sit where they want. I might do the same for ceremony too.xx
For the Ceremony have pick a seat.... For the meal you could have a romantic table just for two instead of a top table! Good luck x
Thanks Lynn.xx
Have a sign that says 'pick a seat not a side, we are all family here' it's such a good solution with having a smaller family on your side and it won't make you feel bad on the day! Hope you have a lovely day xx
Hi we are mixing both families up as I have lost my father
Pick a seat not a side, mix them up
Thanks ladies.xxx
You could get a sign up as people walk in "Pick a seat & not a side, Today we're all family" or something similar x
No sides :) I have the same issue!
We having a sign that says pick a seat not a side to ensure both sides of the aisle are equally filled.
