I get married in 4 months and now all the big things are sorted I'm starting to think about all the little bits and pieces like postboxes, bunting, wooden signs etc. Problem is, this was something I didn't really think about when budgeting! Our venue is rather pretty so we don't need to massively dress it up, but I would like to bring a bit of our colour scheme into the place with banners etc. How much did people pay for their little bits and pieces and where are some cheap places to get these things??? THANKS!!

I haven't budgeted for the little things but we are buying bits and pieces when we have spare money and storing them. Hopefully this will give us more budget at the end of the day and we'll have the stuff we want. I'm planning to make quite a bit myself so stocking up seems like the best idea.

The range,B & m, Amazon, and home and bargains are good for decor. I spent less than £40 or £30 on decor likes signs, bunting etc. In fact there were some I bought that I didn't even use. So my advice would be know exactly what decor you want or need.

We made basically all our decor, including bunting and signs etc. We got a cheap board of MDF from a woodyard and got them to cut it down to the sizes we wanted for the signs then painted on them. Bunting was made using bedsheets (I found this was the cheapest way to buy lots of fabric!) Which was just cut into triangles and sewed onto ribbon and there was loads! I also brought a heart shaped punch and lots of paper in my colour scheme to decorate the tables, and made the centre peices with jars and lace. All in all our decor was super cheap because we did so much ourselves! X

We used beer and whisky bottles, server plates bought for a pound from aldi and some coloured gems from eBay and amazon. Also chalk pens and fairy lights from eBay. Doesn't have to be expensive our decorations came in at less than 40 quid.

I got centre pieces from £1shop and the water beads from home bargains. I got vases and ribbon from the range and made table runners out of a roll of organza! (Also from the range but can get on ebay) I personally don't like banners.

If your Christmas tree lights are white or the colour of your wedding, you could use them to decorate the venue.

All our bunting and signs came from hobbycraft and the range. We also found some lovely unique things on etsy, such as our guestbook.

We are using jam jars and wine bottles (good excuse for a girlie wine night or two!) for our centrepieces and we are decorating them with lace and Tiffany box coloured ribbon (to match bridesmaid dresses). We bought the ribbon and lace from Hobbycraft and we bought our flowers from The Range and eBay (so we can keep them after the wedding) The logs to go with our centrepieces are from my parents garden xx
