Hi I am getting married in the north of Scotland where the nearest airport is 1h30m from the venue of the wedding...a lot of my guests are coming from England where I live now, should I put a bus on from the city where the airport is to the venue and back again that night?, or just expect people to make there own way higher a car etc? There is accommodation near the venue but I just think it is costing people a lot of money to get there so I should help with getting there. What does everyone think?

If it was me, I'd probably see about hiring a bus as I would want to make sure all my guests safely arrive :)

Im putting on a bus as my church and venue are 30 minutes distance away. People will appreciate it but depends on your budget

Our venue was 40 minutes away for most people and I debated putting a coach on there and back but the prices were extortionate!! Then I debated getting people to contribute £10 but then I thought of the complications at the end of the night, lots of drunk people trying to get them onto this coach. A lot of our guests either stayed at the venue, organised a lift or someone was designated driver xx

I would say yeah, if there is enough guests travelling to fill a bus or mini van. Even if you ask guests to chip in a couple pounds each I'm sure they will be willing if it saves them trying to make their own way.
I'm not going to a wedding later this year for this exact reason. The venue is 1hour 30 mins from nearest airport, in a country I've never been to and me and my husband don't drive.

I'd ask guests if they would use it or not :)

Over half of our guests are travelling at least 3 hours to our wedding. I think if you worry about everyone you'll end up just getting stressed. Unless people have said otherwise you just need to let them worry about themselves. Having said that if there is a simple A to B you could look into offering one trip but try not to get caught up with people needing different travel times.

If most of your guests are on facebook i would suggest opening an events page to discuss it as you don't want to put on a bus to and from the airport area if it is not going to be used. Most of my guests are travelling to my wedding and are staying either at the hotel the wedding is being held or a near by hotel. I have given my guests the information of the 2 hotels. The logistics of putting a bus on might be difficult as your guests may not all be travelling at the same time, my guests are all coming the day before and staying a day or 2 more, so you would really need to find out more from your guests before putting out the expense.
