We are currently making our invitations and have used a glitter paper to stick to the front of the card, we are then attaching a ribbon along the top with a diamanté heart...however, when we have come to stick the ribbon on the glue is making the glitter paper show through (in the middle of the ribbon) does any body have any suggestions to stop this? Or how they attached ribbon to their invitations? Thank you :)

I would try using adhesive ribbon that has double sided tape on it, I think it's because the ribbon it's getting wet with the glue you are having this problem. Good luck x

You could have cut the width of the ribbon out of the glitter card so the ribbon was stuck to the backing card and was essentially flush with the glitter card but I am guessing you have already stuck all of the glitter card on already? Which means my comment is pretty useless ! Hope you find a solution

I used glue dots on my invites. You can get rolls of them in varying sizes from places like the range. They also do glue tape. (Look like the tip ex roller things) which were really good. It's probably because the ribbon is wet so if you use dots or tape it won't get wet the same. X

Glue dots would be perfect for this. They're an amazing invention. You can get them in The Range, Hobbycraft or off ebay.

glue dots or double sided tape but they may not stay stuck. vut the ribbon longer and stick to the back, pulling it taught to keep your diamante heart in place. sound very similar to my invites except for the glitter! good luck

Just use a little bit of glue or double sided tape to hold the ribbon where the heart will sit and this should hide it. The ribbon can then be folded behind the glitter paper and secured in place on the back with glue or tape. Hope this helps and makes sense.

Hi cut the glitter panels shorter , then place ribbon along the top. The ribbon will come unstuck very quickly if you put it on top of the glitter panel.
