Dilemma with my dress. Should I go for the dress I always imagined but not in the material I want. Or the perfect fit in the material I want but not the dream dress in the other sense? Advice appreciated x

Neither. I tried on several dresses that were 'mostly right' but not quite perfect. I'm so glad I waited and found the shape and material that I wanted.

In terms of 'perfect fit' you can always get a dress altered too, seamstresses can do amazing things and transform dresses to make them perfect - don't buy a dress based on it fitting well alone.

Try a lot more dresses, if you compromise you'll set yourself up for disappointment

Go for a dress that you feel amazing in and can see yourself getting married in. Don't settle as you will regret it after your big day

I think if you're debating between two then you haven't found the one yet...I would defo keep looking for the one you absolutely love :)

I couldn't decide between 3 dresses and liked bits from each. I found a local bridal shop that makes dresses, showed them exactly what I wanted and they put it together for me. It is amazing!!

Go for the dress that you put on and feel amazing in. Don't get caught up with what you "think" your dream dress is and be open minded and pick the one that feels right.

Whatever feels right! You'll know when it's the one and if like me it will be completely different to what you first wanted

I've tried near 40 dresses and am getting married in September this year. I feel time is a bit against me :-(

Try on more dresses, you obviously haven't found the one yet. I tried on what I had in my mind that would suit me and they didn't look or feel right. The one I chose isn't at all what I thought but it's perfect x

Go in with an open mind, I get married in 4 weeks and have a dress I'd never imagined me in but it was the one good luck

I'd seen a dress online that I really liked and couldn't wait to try on. My mum and the shop owner both said it look beautiful and gave me a great figure. I was torn between 2 and I wasn't sure but I paid a deposit for it anyway. 2 days later I was back in the shop saying I was regretting my choice. Luckily it hadn't been ordered yet. I put the other dress back on I had tried on in my first appointment and the first words out my mouth were I love this dress. It's everything I thought I didn't want but I feel amazing in it. I'm so glad I changed my mind and got to order the dress I really love. Maybe take a break from dress shopping for a few weeks. Ask the consultant for advice they have been doing it for years so can tell you what will suit your body shape.

It sounds like neither is perfect.. don't compromise. Keep looking and you will know the one when you see it...

None you will know when it's the perfect one. You shouldn't have to pick between two dresses that are not exactly what you want. Xxx

I picked a dress to be specially made that was tight on top for h2b and full tiered skirt with long train on the back for me, its a perfect mix of us both!
