How do you even start to plan a wedding??? I have absolutely no clue about these types of things. I know what dress I want and theme (rockabilly) for the wedding but that's about it.

I started by looking at venues and working out a budget with my h2b. He's been involved every step of the way. Make a list of everything you want -look in magazines and online for ideas. We get married in October this year :-) x

I'm starting with the venue which we've found, your guest list and budget. Everything else will fall into place and for around it all...dresses,flowers etc. Finer details in my opinion need to be left until the end. X

I got a wedding planner (paper one not a human one)... It has everything you could possibly need to think about in it - don't have to use it all but it helped me loads :)

Start with budget & venue (we chose the venue first, didn't really have a budget in mind so went from there), then start looking into your colour scheme, dresses, flowers etc.. photographers/videographer was one of the first things we booked too :) x

Lists lists lists lol
There are loads of wedding apps you can download for free and they tell you everything you need and even recommend a timeline of when to do them all which is useful. Other than that just think about what you want but get your venue booked first xxx

We started with a guest list...I always said we would have a small wedding but just our close family and friends has topped 80 people! Once we knew roughly how many people we needed to invite we started looking at venues and pricing them up. That then informed when we would get married as it gave us an idea of how long we'd need to save up...I was overwhelmed to start with too, but once you've done the first few bits the rest start slotting into place.

Wedding fairs! Get some magazines and a scrap book and go from there.

Start with the big things and work your way down to the small details. There's a blog called Rock My Wedding which has some fantastic ideas, including a Planning section with resources such as a month-by-month easy to use guide.

Best thing I was told when I got engaged was to buy a wedding planner book. Plenty on amazon. In 6 months I had all deposits paid for and was just waiting for time to pass. 10 weeks to go and all is ready. The wedding planner helped me no end especially with working full time and being rubbish at organising. We will have 100 day guests and 150 evening and every little detail is in my book. Would die without it . Good luck x if ur not ready to pay for a book go on pintrest and u find ideas of building ur own wedding planner book

I was thinking the same lol
If you choose your venue then they will make everything seem so much clearer. ( they may have a wedding fayre at the venue too for more ideas )

I bought a wedding planner and started with a venue once I'd set my date. Once the venue and church were booked everything just flowed nicely together. We planned it all in 6 months and it was the most amazing day! X

Firstly you need to decide a month, a year or an exact date you'd like to get married! Then start looking at venues. Once you've done that, you'll have a wedding planner at the venue who will be able to advise further. I suggest going to as many wedding fayres as possible as no two are the same and give you lots of ideas :-)
