We paid £490 to Gloucester registry office. You then have to pay 735 each to give notice of your intention to marry to the local authority who you pay your council tax too.

All depends on region and when. I'm getting married this year in Chester and it's costing me 400 where as my friend is next year in Macclesfield and it's costing her near 800

It depends on the council and the year. We're paying £660 altogether - we live in York and are getting married in 2018.

We are getting married in Solihull council and we are paying £595. Just be careful if you are not getting married in the borough you live in as you have to still have your names in the register office where you live x £30 notice for each at the time of the appointment

Ours wanted £300 to walk around the corner (literally) from the registry office to the venue we wanted so we go married at the registery office for £50 plus £30 each for our notice x

The prices have gone up this year, I think I'm paying £540 for the wedding day and then we paid £70 to give notice! The prices should be on their website.

Ours is £404 plus £35 each to give notice and a £30 booking fee. Soooo expensive, all because it's a Saturday! Monday to Thursday would only cost £274 but my mother was insistent that I get married on a Saturday! This is the prices for Stockport
