You can't usually give notice or book a registrar until 1 year before. I wouldn't get too carried away yet.. As your tastes etc may change by then x

Book the band asap as you may loose out on the best ones :) registrar isn't done till about 6 months before at least

Your probably best to check with the registry office in your area when you can book your registrar. Bands and things depend on the company/person but I think most are taking booking for 2019 x

You can only book the registrar 12months before your wedding but if i was you i would give them a call just to be sure then you can start planning. Good luck have a lovely wedding day x

Book as soon as you can really and I booked my registar already we don't get married until late 21 April 2018. You then give notice of marriage to your local registar any time after 1 year before your date xx

In terms of bands, any entertainment, photographers, makeup artist etc if you have specific ones in mind then get those booked asap! You'll be surprised how quickly everyone gets booked. We couldn't book our registrar until 1 year before the date, and before that you have to give your marriage notice which again I think was 1 year before.

I am having a humanist wedding and I have already booked my celebrant and I get married 29Sep2018 x

I also already have my band, venue and currently talking with a photographer/videographer. I say it is never too soon as you can change and tweak things as you go. Everyone I am hiring is very flexible xx

We were able to book our registrar 2 years before but think it depends on area so call them to check, I'd do it asap once you can as the dates and times can go quickly and it's probably the most important thing to have booked! You then give notice of marriage within 1 year of the wedding. We booked our venue 2 years before the wedding date so slightly less than you and researched and booked each big thing one at a time every couple of months or so which kept it from getting too overwhelming (registrar, photographer, band/DJ/musicians, florist, hair and make up and cake were the main things) and doing it all in good time meant we had no problems with getting our preferred supplier for our date

I'd say no harm booking registrar if you would like a cetain time. Once you've paid your provisional booking fee you can relax knowing nothing needs doing until within 12 months of the date then

I booked a save the date for my wedding Feb 2015 and I'm getting married September 2017. I paid £20 and they pencil you in. That sort of pre books the date and time. So no one else can book it. Then a year before before you get married you then give the notice. Which I did October 2016. If you want a certain time and date get In early.

We booked our wedding July last year for August 2018 and I pretty much booked the registrar in the same week, getting married in Durham but live in Sunderland and can't give notice of marriage with Sunderland council till a year before the wedding so can't pay reg fees till this is done x

We were told to book the registrar before the venue in case there's none available

Make it priority to get in contact with you registrar ASAP... They can tell you when to book or if you can reserve the date... be a shame to book all your favorites.. venue/band/photographer and then there's nobody to actually do the legal stuff... I checked my venue and registrar were available on the date I wanted and booked them within 10 mins of each other. That was 2rs ago and I get married in may... my advice don't leave it x

That's our wedding date too ❤️ We got told you can save your date with your registrar 2 years in advance for a few of about £25, that's in Liverpool, so I'm saying you probably have till sept this year before you need to worry about that but everything else I would do as soon as you can x

Getting married in Norfolk. We're getting married in November 2018 and booked registrar asap to ensure date and time. Cost £100

We had to have our registrar booked before we could pay the deposit at our venue. We did that March last year and don't get married until next September lol we just had to pay £25 deposit with the registry office nearest our venue

Contact the local registry office asap and ask their advice. Each area is different but many will provisionally reserve your date and then you confirm it with them nearer the time and give your notice to marry

I was overwhelmed to begin with but it falls into place, shop around for stuff before committing! Registrars usually 12 months some don't let you book any sooner x

We Booked Our Registrar For August 2018 Before The Venue, Just Incase The Registrar Isn't Available On Your Date. You Can't Give Notice Until 12 Months Before. We've Also Booked DJ & Photographer, Booking Florist Soon Too. You'd Be Surprised How Quick / Soon People Get Booked Up x

You can book the registrar now if you wish but can only give notice 1 yr before. It depends if you have got a certain date then book because they may be fully booked . Does that make sense?

Each registra is different we can't book ours till 1 year 1 day before ours is in march 2019 and we have booked venue, dj, and some entertainment is good to shop around and some will often do deals as there prices go up each year so no harm in booking things early if you can.. we are Finding it's helping budget too as most only want booking deposit so we are getting good idea of how much we need to save and spending xx

we had to sort a registrar before putting the deposit on the venue down...a fee of £25 I think it was for us and we told them the date and time we wanted, as soon as that was done the deposit was put on the venue knowing that 12months before the big day we had to pay the registrars full amount. we then went ahead and booked all the "big things" dj, photographer etc. Personally if you can get it done asap it makes things easier...everyone was adamant that I would get stressed out, cry and be constantly asking people for help and be a "bridezilla" as that is what they were like for their weddings...don't get me wrong I had a couple of little wobbles (more about money and some people just being general pains!) but I stayed pretty calm and chilled once all the big things were sorted. congratulations and good luck with your planning, ur big day and ur future xx

It depends on the registration district. Most won't take your notice before 12 months ahead.
