We are planning our wedding to be in a hotel, ceremony an all. I have it in my head that we won't be needing wedding cars & haven't added the cost into our budget. Is anyone else in the same situation an booked cars or vice Versa? Or anyone had their wedding an regretted not having a wedding car? Thanks in advance ????
We are having our ceremony and reception in the same place. We are staying at the venue the evening before and actually quite glad to be saving the wedding car money! X
We thought the same to start with but then booked one! Even so we could have the car in photos and also we'll get half hour drive alone after the ceremony in the car - just something nice to do!
We are having everything in a hotel and will be staying the night before. Hubby 2 be will drive himself there on the day as we will also be staying on the wedding night so needs his car to get us home the next day x
We are having the wedding and ceremony in the same place and I'm torn as well would like me and my dad to arrive in something nice but it's expensive for a 10 minute drive
We got married last week in a hotel and had everything in one place and didn't need cars .. don't regret it at all and saved us a fair bit of money
If you don't need them then they would just be used for photos but we were happy without.. meant we could spend more elsewhere .. if you have a package .. they might let you substitute the cars for something else ..? Xx
We're having a hotel with everything under one roof and because we are arriving the night before and staying at the venue so that we are there first thing the morning of the wedding we aren't bothering with a car...no need and it's not something either of us particularly want, we will drive there ourselves the day before the wedding and drive ourselves home the day after, easy :)
Are you staying in the hotel the night before? If so then what's the need of the cars my sister is getting married and having everything in the hotel also staying there night before so she cut that out saves her a lot of money... if your not staying at the hotel maybe ask a friend with a nice car to drive you to the hotel make sure car is clean so nothing gets on your dress :)
We have also booked into the hotel that is holding our ceremony and reception. So we won't need cars
We did all of ours in our hotel venue and didn't need cars, we just found other picture opportunities xx
I did the same and didn't have cars. Seemed unnecessary!
We had our whole wedding in a hotel, my husband stayed the night before the wedding and I stayed at my parents ( 2 mins up the road ) I traveled to the hotel first thing and got ready in my sister's room. So we didn't have a car and it was a welcome expenses we didn't have to pay our for x
This was my question, thank you everyone! I will defo be staying the night before the wedding so wouldn't need it for that, We spoke to a lady at a wedding show an she suggested still gettin a car to use for photos & as a lady above says about to have half an hour alone so it put me in two minds over it! Thanks for all your advice lovelies x
We're also having our wedding ceremony and reception at the hotel. I'm staying there the night before with some of the bridesmaids and my partner is being brought down by family. We would rather save the money and didn't see the point in hiring a car to 'stage arrival' or be taken around the block... Best of luck with the rest of your planning! :)
I am in the same situation we are getting married in a hotel and initially I was going to stay overnight the night before. All the wedding party was but now I'm undecided however a few people have told me that they regret getting the at as they were rushed whereas if they had stayed at the hotel they would have had the extra time to get ready
We had our wedding where the whole thing was in a hotel. We never had any cars. No need when all you're doing is travelling from one side of the hotel to the other. :) Xxx
We had our wedding ceremony and reception all in the same place and didn't get wedding cars as thought it would be a waste of money. Plus we stayed at the venue. I don't regret not having a wedding car, I got taken in a gold buggy from our lodge to the venue and it just made me giggle x
We are having our wedding at a hotel but decided not to stay at the hotel the night before as it worked out cheaper for us to have a car. If you're staying at the hotel the night before you won't need a car
If your staying the night before no you won't need them, our entire day is in a hotel aswel and I'm only having a car because I'm staying at my sister in laws the night before x
As I stayed at the same hotel the night before with our children and my sister (moh) we didn't bother with a car. My dad brought my mum and brother in his car with ribbon and my husband came in a mini bus with all his family. It worked well for us. My parents then stayed over at hotel and looked after our children and then dad took us home next day in his dolled up car
We had ours all at one venue and we didn't have cars, my bridesmaids drove themselves and my mum drove me to the top of the drive and I rode my friends horse down to the venue. X
I'm getting married in a hotel, but getting ready at my parents place so I've booked cars to take me and my bridal party to the venue.
I stayed at the venue the night before .... didn't miss coming in a car at all ... glad to have the money to spend elsewhere
hi we are also having our wedding in a hotel we are not going to have cars either. we have decided to book rooms in the hotel for the night before the wedding instead to try and relax in the hotel. it will also ease some of the worry as i will not have to worry about the car breaking down or running late
We're getting married at our venue so we're not having a wedding car. Why spend all that money if you don't need it?
We're getting married in a church, then going on to our venue afterwards, and I'm still not getting cars! I just don't see the point of spending all that money! My dad will drive me & my bridesmaids to the church and we're arranging a coach for guests from church to venue. Even if you are travelling to your venue morning of, there are cheaper ways to do it.
We are having everything under one roof, I am staying at hotel night before with my bridesmaids and my h2b is staying elsewhere so he is having a car for him and his best man, not an expensive car though, probably a mustang so its a boys toy
