I'm not sure whether to put my engagement ring back on after the ceremony or...

You could wear them both it looks pretty that way and you wearing both rings as both mean something to you :)

I wore my engagement ring on my right hand just for the day, then put it back on the left hand with my wedding ring the day after the wedding xx

I'd forgotten all about my engagement ring untill standing at the alter sneakily slid it to the other hands finger then swapped it back later in the day lol

One of my friends looked after my engagement ring through the ceremony as i had a ring on my other hand from my Grandma and then i put it back on after the ceremony x

I put mine back on after the ceremony as it's designed to fit together. I wore the engagement ring on my ring hand during the ceremony and as soon as my wedding band was on, I moved over the engagement ring. Congrats and good luck xx

I think it's traditional to take your engagement ring off during the ceremony and put it back on after. That's what I will be doing.

I wore both of mine after the ceremony. It made a beautiful picture when the photographer took a photograph of my ring finger with my husband's finger intertwined.

I forgot about mine till the ring part and swapped it to the other hand quick, I no longer wear my engagement ring as it is such a large stone and i used to have to take it off for work anyway as I am a care worker so it is now locked away safely and comes out on special occasions!

The vicar said I could put mine on my right hand until after the ceremony, which I did, but he also reminded me on arrival anyway, then I put on after the ceremony.

As far as I could tell, if you want to keep wearing your engagement ring you can, and tradition says you wear it on the other hand during the ceremony, then put it back on the normal finger after the ceremony (between your wedding ring and your fingertip) afterwards

I thought you were supposed to take it off for the ceremony then put it back on above your wedding ring for the photos. I've never known any different. That's what I'll be doing. My mum will look after my engagement ring during the ceremony. I definitely want both on for the photos.

I put my engagement ring on my right hand the morning of the wedding. I woke up the day after the wedding and realised it was still there - there was so much excitement etc after the ceremony it was the last thing on my mind to move it back to the left hand. On reflection I t was quite nice for people to see my wedding ring on it's own
