Where are you having it? I know a few photographers who will give a much better deal so that you can capture the whole day!

I am paying £595 for my photographer who will be with me from 10am (bridal prep) until the end of the first dance/start if evening band. The cost covers 2 photographers (husband and wife) as well as all my prints on a USB and a canvas print of my favourite one.

That is a bargain. We paid £675 for a top package where we had engagement shoot, bridal and groom prep,wedding ceremony, group photos and then speech at end of wedding breakfast. We also paid extra on top for the photographer to stay for two extra hours for evening party and do a photo booth style takin photographers. When we were researchig photographers the top packages for what we wanted were over £1000. Bridal prep is important to be captured and your guests can take a pic of your cake cutting and can record your first dance.

Doesn't sound overly expensive. We are paying £849 and have coverage from 3pm to 10pm

I don't know where you live but I think that's an amazing price. I'm looking at £1200 for 8 hours and 500 photos on usb it's £1400 for an album. That seems to be the average here in Wokingham.

Mine was 40 page photo book photos on dvd from bridal prep to first dance and i paid £350 xx

I'm having my reception photographer only cover the reception events. Bridal prep etc I believe is a time to spend with bridesmaids and close family in a relaxed home environment, so my sister will be capturing candid photos with her camera from the moment we wake to the moment we arrive at our venue. (Our registry is on a separate day and again I'm only covering the ceremony and outdoor photos with a professional)

We've paid £1600 for all day and nite ... and we get an engagement shoot too ..

I think it's a good price. Ours is £1500 for the whole day

We are paying £650, they is all day from prep until the evening, first dance and cake cutting included, no maximum on the number of photos taken and includes a album...if we want to upgrade the album then the cost goes up slightly x

Seems very reasonable to me too. Most of the ones we looked at were £1000-1500 for what you're described.

I'd avoid bridal prep! They just get in the way and slow you down! And I'll never pick any of my bridal prep pictures to be in an album as I don't see the point!

I'm paying 275 but if I was having evening as well it was 350 plus she is amazing even gives you a 20 minute free pre shoot at her house and you keep the photos..if you live any where near Taunton then pm me and I will give you her number

I paid £2150 for whole day with album signing frame and engagement shoot if you break it down I'm paying £1000 for the whole day saying that we get married at 2.30pm he will take photos from me nd bridesmaid getting ready until end of night x

Were paying £550, our photographer is with me from 8am thro to first dance, all photos on usb, album, canvas of fav pic and the engagement shoot, really happy with this xx

Mine is 1,400 (normally 1,800 but I won a comp) for 10 hours from getting ready to a small time just after the first dance. I'm getting my pictures on a USB. I'm a qualified photographer myself and around 1,000 is an average for a wedding photographer and if your getting a high standard album sometimes a couple of hundred more on top. The best way to address your issues is meet with your photographer and discuss the pictures you want to be captured and see if they have wiggle room they might even add a small amount extra for a few more hours. Communication is key for getting exactly what you want :)
