I want to include the menu in with the invitations but the menu cards to match my invites are nearly as much as the invites themselves! Do they need to match or would I be able to print a menu off myself and add it in with the invite? I am getting the rsvp card to match but the menu is just too expensive!
I would print it off myself. Get some nice paper, make it look presentable and job done. It depends how important it is to you that everything matches. If I got an invite and the menu looked different I wouldn't think anything of it
I did mine myself! I made all of my inserts on a card that matched the invite itself! It was so much cheaper. And that way I got to do the design which was nice!
Thanks ???? I'll do a design and print them off myself ????
Personally (and I mean absolutely no offence to anyone whose opinion may differ to my own), I wouldn't worry about a few bits of paper matching- they're meant for information purposes only, and as much as it's nice to have it all matching, and exciting for the bride and groom, people will more than likely lose it once they've RSVP'd anyway. I've been to lots of weddings over the years, and can honestly say that stationary matching or not is not one of the things I remember (in fact, besides the select few from family that I kept in my memory box, I don't even remember what any of them looked like!). x
I made all my invites myself. You could probably match them quite well yourself. Or keep the menu card plain and simple qnd that way it'll match.
I printed stuff off myself and added it to the invites :) I made It look 'like' our invites :)
Yes, the need to match. You cant possibly send them out otherwise! I mean can you imagine?!
Honestly, what a stupid question! Why the hell do they need to match? What on earth is the issue with just printing off the menu. Perhaps I'm missing the point (probably I am!) I printed off my menus and included them in the invitations, I didnt even consider it as an issue!
I put craft paper luggage looking labels in with our invites for menus as like you say the menus doubled the price! Luckily I had craft paper envelopes so it sort of went with the invites but I refused to pay out more for matching menus.. I don't think anyone would notice/care..
Just use same colour writing!xx
These are ours (dislay template) Make less work for yourselves and maybe add it all in one.

I made my own but I haven't sent them out the venue are putting them out according to my seating plan. They fit with my venue decor theme. They cost £12.00 in total to make
We had a double sided rsvp, one Side said if they could come etc, other side had menu choices and tick boxes on it xx
We didn't give people a choice of menu! We asked people to let us know with RSVP if they had any dietary requirements so we could inform the chef.
Personally I would just print your own why spend more if there's no need too
I had the menu printed on the back of the rsvp
We had the same ones printed but only as I said I didn't want RSVP cards and would rather have the menu cards. We then made a wedding website so people can RSVP on there and chose their menu options at the same time. Worked really well as my friends wouldn't send me an RSVP back anyway they would tell me in person or text me! X
Do you have a wedding website? There are free websites and you can put extra info on the site. This is what we did; we didn't put menu on but we put directions, sat nav info, nearby hotels and taxi firms etc x
Can you not ask for an extra insert in with your invitations x
