Kids: Love kids, I have no issue with them however, I am not keen on them being at our wedding. Problem is, I have alot of family (cousins) who have children, who I adore, but I just don't think we can afford for them all to be there. Is there a way of letting people down gently with not inviting the kids to the wedding or is it just a risk that you have to take with people not being happy with it? Obv if people have a big issue with it then they don't have to come but I don't want there to be a big argument over it.

I think the only issue would be that if they can't find childcare you may end up losing guests

We had the same issue, lots of cousins with young children. The only children coming will be of my closest cousins, who are pretty much like siblings.
We have pitched it as a night off for parents, enjoying themselves without having to keep an eye out for little fingers. There is of course childcare, but given enough time that shouldn't be TOO much of a problem. Tell people to search on agencies or childcare.co.uk
If it's in the budget, have childcare come to the wedding, although I can't offer sites for this I know it exists.

All the best.
