I would have got mine of eBay as there's loads that are lovely, but I'm lucky my mum's doing all my stationery, flowers and decorations for tables as our wedding gift. I'm also doing a diy post box myself and some other bits. X
I'm going to go on fiverr.com to find a graphic designer to design us our invitations, then have the designs printed by a local printer, which seems to work out fairly cheap. The design works out at about £30 and to print them all about £100 (for 60-70). I'm thinking about adding my own touch to it as well, but have not quite decided yet. I've tried to keep it low as I know the postage will cost a bomb on top of it all! For our save the dates we are sending out personalised pencils which work put at around £60 for the lot which isn't too bad.
My invitations were included in my venue package. But, if this wasn't the case I would've probably have gotten the pretty laser cut ones off of eBay and printed the actual insides myself
Have a look at Elle Bee from Worcester. She is amazing, works from home but super friendly and great pricing. She packages well too.

Hi there,
We got ours through Paperchain & everyone has said how lovely they are! You can choose the design, wording etc & they are excellent quality - they send you through samples for free for 2 designs so you can decide before committing any money. Very reasonable price too (I think we paid about £80 for ours, including having the envelopes addressed & that was for 2 different wordings - ceremony & reception too).
They are very responsive & want to get everything just right for you.
Hope that helps! xx
