{"FB":true,"content":"#MEMBERREQUEST - Me and my H2B are very similar in everything other than taste...we never seem to like the same foods, and often eat different meals. We've realised that this even includes cake! What do we do about the cake flavour without spending money on two different cakes?"}

"Just do different tiers. We had choc, vanilla and lemon. Also be prepared to argue over every meal/food shop for the rest of your lives!"

"We picked a tier flavour each and then went for a generic plain one for the third tier! I think if you can do it, take a choice from each of you so you both have something you'd like! Even with the food menu one pick a main and one pick a desert for instance? It's probably the fairest way and the only way you'll both be able to have something you also like!"

"Like others have said, go for different flavours for each tier. H2B and I are luckily really similar in food but when it comes to cake we are quite different, multiple flavours keeps both of us happy!"

"I made this cake for a wedding two years ago and it was three different sponges. Bottom was chocolate, middle lemon, top vanilla :) bride and groom decided on the flavours, chocolate was the only flavour they both liked while she enjoyed lemon cake and he liked vanilla cake separately :)"

"I'm having either a chocolate/millionaire cheesecake or a giant cheese tower XD neither me or my partner are big cake fans but we both like cheesecake. I'd really recommend you go to a specialist bakery though. If food is an important feature to you as it is to me then spend a bit more money on that to get it just right!"

We did layers ... bottom 2 are chocolate sponge with chocolate ganache, middle is vanilla and jam sponge and the top layer was lemmon, we went with what we thought would be most popular with everyone else for the bigger layers! (We had an autumn theme)
