We have a a large personalised kilner jar with our Mr and Mrs name and wedding date on it. Guests will write on little pieces of paper marriage advice and then roll it up into a scroll and tie it with ribbon and drop it into the jar. We will open it on our first wedding anniversary and read the messages. Alternative to a guest book.

"We had an illustration drawn of my husband and I in our wedding outfits, with flower garlands round the picture in our colour scheme, then put it in the middle of an A2 piece of paper and put it in a frame. The frame stood on an easel on a table with a pot of pens and a little sign asking people to leave a message round the picture. Worked out really well, as people could either just write their names of write a message. My sister illustrated our picture but I know there are lots of people on Etsy who do it, or you may have a talented friend!"

"Made my own from half a shed door and some chalk paint!"
I made my own. I bought a big wooden style frame from wilkinsons, bought pre cut hearts off e-bay. Peope wrote on the hearts and placed them in a wooden chest. Then at home i took them all and glued them in the frame. It hangs in my hallway. I hated how drop frames can't guarantee that they fall right way up to read the writing. This meant i could position them how i wanted.

I'm lucky enough to have access to a laser cutter at work so I've designed us a puzzle with Mr and Mrs with the date time and place we got married as a big piece in the middle 💞💞 guests will sign a piece with simply their name or a message so we have something a little more exciting than a book that will sit on a shelf 🙂
Senaxus on Etsy do drop boxes in a range of colours for £55
You could get people to write on Jenga pieces. I'd personally stay away from having something that you can't edit such as a picture that people write around because friends have had lovely pictures ruined by people drawing willies on them, it kind of ruins them a bit.
