Mine's next year and will altogether be around £10,000

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It honestly varies so much depending on what you want, you can get married at a registry office for £200 odd and then go home and have a party, or you could hire a venue and pay £15,000 it entirely depends on what you want. Many people can do it for under £5000 but often the food and the venue are the most expensive parts

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mines cost us around £5500 with everything. I reccomend getting married out of season it saved us a couple thousand but if you want to get married in season then I’d look at different venues and look at the prices within your budget.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine cost around £7/8000, this included a 2K loss with a different venue as we changed the date and venue and couldnt get any money back, so all in all about 5K. that was for everything! Most of it was included on the price at the venue. The rest was wedding dress, suit, bridemaid dress, cake, flowers etc. It just depends what you want on your day!

Getting married on a weekday or out of season (not summer) is cheaper again. Registry is cheaper Monday-Thursday, but goes up each day in the week.

Honestly 100% depends on what you want!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours was a total of about £3,000 and that included everything except the honeymoon. We wanted to do it cheaper so we could splash out on the holiday because we were taking the kids and wanted it to be magical. The average in the UK is about £22,500, but it can be done A LOT less!

Congratulations ❤

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mines is costing about 15k but that includes everything from bridesmaids dresses to invites

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Congratulations!! We had everything we wanted and our honeymoon in croatia 8 days half board for £7,000 total. Good luck with everything 😀

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It all depends on the day, time of year, venue, package chosen theres no rules really!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours is next year and with everything included it'll be about £5500, you do not have to pay 10 grand plus to have a lovely day!! Congratulations!!! Good luck with your plans 🎉♥️

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It cost us £3000 for our wedding in total, and it was the best day ever x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Id say £10,000 xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I did church wedding and just party reception and in total for everything I paid £2200 can be done it just depends on you

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine cost around 3k. I spent around 1k on food (we only had a reception, got married a few months before with just 6 people), and £750 on our photographer. The rest we did as cheap as we could, buying stuff off of eBay in bits and pieces. You can do it for cheap and still end up with a lovely day, or if you have the money splash out on it! It can cost a few hundred to 100k 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn't have changed ours at all ☺️

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Check Groupon as well, I've found a venue near me that is offering 50 guests, food, drinks for table dj etc for £1999 all in, that's what I'm planning on doing booked registry office for £57 so saving money there too!!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I think if we tally up everything (including wedding dress, suits, rings too) it’s about £10/11,000 but it’s entirely dependent on season and day of the week too and also what you and fiancé want! Xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I did a church wedding and a buffet for 200 including first drink for £3600

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours was about £12000 in the end that was a hotel wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast for 60 people and evening reception for 100 people. That alone was about £6000 if I remember correctly, then added registrars, decorations, day time and evening entertainment, dresses, suits, flowers, cake, hair and make up etc xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Anywhere between £5,000-£15,000 is average x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine cost altogether around 5.5k and that was for everything .. We had a limited number of ppl as you only really need the people that matter and everything was included in the price.. We got married at marwell Hotel and it was beautiful it was out of season and on a Friday but we'll worth it xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Depends on venue, food, how many guests, what extras you want, your budget etc! We’re getting married in July and I started our budget at 12k and it’s crept up to 20k now! Everything adds up!
Our venue was ~9k for reference

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Totally depends on venue numbers food time of year. What type of wedding you really want. We didnt set a budget but ours came in at roughly £12,000 for everything we did get our venue as part of an offer they had on at the time and we had 65 day guests 180 evening guests

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Depends on what you want really. I dreamed of getting married is a castle as a girl and I made it a reality and ended up paying ~£21000 for my wedding. You can get married for much much less and you can do it for much much more.

My recommendation is to think about what you want. Where do you want to get married? Look at those venues and get rough estimates. What time of year? Believe it or not that can affect the cost of your wedding. Do you want everything at one place or multiple? Do you need to book cars? What is your theme going to be? (Can just be a colour of you want).

If there were wedding fayres still happening I would highly recommend going to one and talking to suppliers and getting as much information as you can get. Instead look at wedding magazines, these will help you look at what you will need to think about. Also give yourself plenty of time to book and pay for everything! I gave myself 18 months and wished I had longer.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine will be approx £10,000 but in the summer holidays cus I'm a teacher so prices are inflated a little. Splashed out on a few things as well rather than budgeting everything.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

When I got married we did it for around £8000 but this was 2006 prices will be much higher nowadays

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I payed £5k including my honeymoon as we did town Hall wedding and then big party reception all in 1 room. I only had a dress for under £100 though xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours was around £5000 including everything from venue, rings dresses etc. but we only had 25 day guests and 50 evening, as we only wanted very close family and friends. That included the whole venue. And 2 nights stay in a cottage for 12 of us! It was absolutely perfect.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Best thing to do is to find a list of all the suppliers you will need (hair, makeup, venue) and start shopping round for quotes, that way you'll get an idea of what's cheap/expensive, and then set a budget based on the quotes you've got and the amount you can afford. We paid £7,000 honeymoon, which was more than a few of my family members paid for theirs but the cheapest we could get it with everything we wanted

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Congratulations ❤️ we’ve just got engaged as well so it’s very useful to see tips to keep costs down wherever possible. The way I’m looking at it is other than marrying the love of my life which bits of the day are most important to us and that’s where we’ll try and focus on. Weddings can be ridiculously expensive so I’d try and utilise anyone you know with a skill ie baking for the cake, artistic for invites (unless you do electronic invites), you’ll be amazed by how many people you know are keen photographers (maybe check their work first because you want a good record of the day). Obviously cost will depend on how many people you want in your wedding party and whether you intend on paying for bridesmaid dresses/hair makeup or do you ask them to contribute (I’d say then you have to be more flexible in what they wear). Like others have said if you want to keep costs down venues are usually cheaper on a Monday-Thursday. One thing I hadn’t factored in was the extra costs of the church. As well as the ceremony itself there’s the cost of heating and lighting the church, use of a verger (I’m still not entirely sure what they do), cost of having the organ played (optional in our church) and the real kicker was the cost of having the bells rung! If you’re like me your brain will be fit to burst with ideas. Maybe once allowed get along to a wedding fayre or look on Pinterest if you don’t mind going down the rabbit hole that it creates 🤣 I wish you lots of fun planning and hope you find the perfect day for you both at the perfect price x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine is next year now and mine will roughly be around 7-8000 in total. We got a gold package deal with a lot of the stuff we need included without having lots of suppliers to deal with.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

£1600 not including my dress as my mom paid for that £700. We had church, limo, reception, Buffett, rings, candy station, photo booth, photographer the works. Made a lot ourselves. People thought we had spent thousands.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Our will be around 7500 for 60 ppl including everything dresses for maid of honour, bridesmaid, bride, mother of the bride, kilt hire for 8 ppl etc...

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It completely depends what you want, where you want to get married and how you want to do. If you do most things yourself it will generally be cheaper, if you use outside companies it will be dearer etc x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It varies... we set aside £20k for ours with £12k for the venue but we are getting married in Sept, on a Saturday and have 90 day time guests. I’m sure we will go over budget but it’s my day and I’m doing it my way. What ever you decide/spend is right. Your day, your way!! 🥰🥰

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Anything from £500 to £50,000. How long is a piece of string? You need to decide on YOUR budget. Then Write a list of ‘must haves’ and ‘would like to haves’. The must haves would be food, venue etc for example. Then do your homework on what these individual things cost and make your decisions from there. Cut back on certain items, purge on others.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It really depends on what sort of wedding and how many guests your having.
We got married in a hotel had registra come there so whole thing was at the hotel with 100 guests on day and around 150 in eve ours was around 10k that was including everything you'll find it's the sit down meal that cost the most ours was £42 a head xxx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I paid 10k for a chuxrch wedding with hotel reception for 90 guests. I got my wedding dress in a sale and won a few facebook competitions aswell

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Our venue was 3k, food included, then I stayed the night before so didn't need a car. Rings, bridesmaid dresses, suits etc everything else came to a total of about 5k all in. My dad paid for flowers and my mum paid for my dress. Considering we was looking at venues at 10k, we only spent 5 including everything!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Hi everyone sorry to jump on but I recently got engaged (Christmas day) and although we haven’t set a date or anything yet i love an excuse for a list 🙈 but i have no idea where to start planning.
Do i choose a venue first? Or think of a guest list so i know the type/ size venue i need?
Any help or recommendations greatly appreciated. Thank you xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It depends on what you can afford and what you want. Make a list of how many guests then look at venues to see what you can affird

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Registry office , party venue. With all your loved ones ...priceless. but seriously mid range venue and food /clothing and honeymoon suite and photo booth around 4k.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I did mine for 4k x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Really depends on what you want for your wedding. We paid about £4k our biggest expense was the venue and food. Made a lot myself like invites, order of service, table plan and place names. Our photographer was someone we knew so cut the price too. Best thing to do is figure out your budget and go from there.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

£5K for a wedding in May but we kept it small. Look for smaller venues and be willing to bargain hunt and make things yourself. We used vistaprint for invites, found a beautiful local hotel in Kent and then got my dress in the sale!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours came to 9k for everything including 80 day time and 120 nighttime dress suits bridemaid dress photogrqpher etc

However due to.covid we reduced our numbers

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Paid 7k for mine 🙂

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We're paying around £3000 for everything. We are not having a venue wedding though. We've gone for our local football club because it is where we met and we're having a very informal day without a sit down meal. We're having a pizza van instead 😋

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Depends on what u wants. We are having a chapel wedding with a pig roast. Dad paid for my dress. But all in we are £3000 x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We spent about 10 thousand on ours, that’s just for the wedding!
My dress was another 2k, and our honeymoon was about 5&half thousand

but it can be to what you want and make it your day with your budget

I wanted a big wedding with all my family and friends, but it remember just do what you want & what’s in your budget
At the end of the day as long as you get to walk away happily married what does it matter what it costs

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

It really depends on what you want. Ours was £7k and had a fab day with 100 of our friends and families. My friend spent £25k and had a fab time. Depends really on what you want and how many guests you want. Sorry can’t be more help. Xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Depends where you are in the UK, south east and London is far more expensive, time of year, food, how many people you want for your day. ours will be about £12,000 at a beautiful golf club in Surrey with 100 people xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

£1,800

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

10k marry in a week day as venue etc are cheaper hunt for bargains online and try and do as much as u can yourself try advising on fb pages for local florist cake makes can be a lot cheaper than going to shops x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

My sister probably spend less than £1000 on hers, she bought a dress from tk maxx got married at the local town Hall / registry office, she had me and her best mate as bridesmaids and we bought our own dresses my brother gave her away and he wore black trousers and a shirt, she had her reception at the pub across the road and had minimal food because most people wouldn't eat it. This was 10-15 years ago though x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

To be honest you will have an amazing day no matter if you spend £500 or £50,000. Just make sure you make it about you both and don’t please others, it’s your day always remember that. And just spend within your means, we’ve spent somewhere between £25-£30k I lost count 🤦‍♀️😆 but I’ve waited 15 years and am making it a massive family celebration, when we finally get to do it that is 🙈
Just do what feels right for you x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours is coming in at around the 5k mark just for the venue.
40 day guests ( Christmas dinner )
80 evening guests ( hog roast)
Wine for toast and arrival
.. then extras in top but family care helping towards those purchases, buy a wedding planner it has budget help and advice in there, xx
xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine cost about 2k that was with a small ceremony (about 15 relatives) in Gretna Green, my dress, hubby's suit etc and the reception at the local Labour club when we came home for all our friends and family who couldn't make it.. Its as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be you don't need to spend thousand and thousands on one day x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Everything included. Our very DIY wedding was around 6,000. From venue and decorations to rings and shoes. We had a lot of help. Family wanting to give us money as gift asked us if we wanted the money to pay for the wedding which was amazing! :) I have a large family but at the ceremony we only had closest friends and family (30) and of an evening had over 90 people. We had hand made invites, table decorations and room dressing. :) it is what you make it!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Please Ladies and Gents Remember The Marriage Is More Important Than The Wedding 👌😍

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine was £7,500 including a August honeymoon to Cape Verde for around £2,500.....you don't have to spend silly money its about you two not showing off xxx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

You can't really answer that without knowing what kind of wedding you want, your location and a rough size of the wedding. As weddings very from a couple of hundred to I'd say easily £15,000. Also you have to look at supplier prices in your area and what kind of style you want. Also have to factor in what your venue supplies and if you have to add extra on for suppliers. And if you need a registrar what their prices are x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Choose the day carefully as some venues charge less for certain days of the week. There are some preloved wedding dress shops where you can get a dress at a much reduced price. Off the peg bridesmaid dresses from high Street shops are much cheaper than from bridal shops. FB marketplace can be a good source of table and room decorations.
Good luck with your plans and remember it's your day so enjoy yourselves ❤️

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Honestly depends on what you are looking for xxx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We had around 150 guests and spent £27,000K. Beautiful wedding in the French countryside 💕 It varies so much depending on what you want. Congratulations x

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours was £20k. We had to have a weekend or holiday as have teachers in the immediate family but weekends were too expensive so we went for a Thursday in May half term which saved us around £4000. The 20k was a church wedding with a small gospel choir (wanted that since I was a little girl) followed by a wedding breakfast for 65 and evening buffet for 85 at a private wedding venue (it’s like a mini Downton Abbey ❤️), a live band, ice cream tricycle, my dress/accessories, makeup artist for me, hairdresser for all bridal party and my mum, 2 bridesmaids dresses, 2 children’s outfits, 6 grooms men, wedding car, flowers, cake, photographer, videographer (not cheap but prob the best money we spent as it’s amazing being able to watch it all back) and our honeymoon in Jamaica. Despite sounding like we booked a lot, which I suppose we did compared to some, we also cut back on a lot otherwise it could have easily ended up at the £25/30k mark! But we were engaged for more than 2 years and saved really hard during that time so that we could afford as much of the things we wanted as possible and then we also had £4500 help from parents. A lot of people (especially the older generations) were horrified by how much we spent but we had everything we wanted and due to our hard saving we came out of it with only £1000 left to pay off across two credit cards so we were really proud to be able to do that and not come out with thousands of pounds of debt!

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

£8000. Literally everything, wedding ceremony, dress, rings, suit, flowers, breakfast in Central Park new York. The hotel for 7 nights did flights. And everything for a reception at the local community hall - dj, food, Hall hire, cake etc.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Mine cost about £500 I think.
Service at town hall, meal for 13 people, wedding night glamping.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

You can go as low as even around £100 for civil ceremony at registers office, a few hundred abroad for places like Greece or even Las Vegas, or tens of thousands it more for big proper wedding here. The sky us your limit! You can no get married in certain parks and outdoor events on the cheap as well

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

I married my husband for about £1,000 and it was a perfect day ❤️

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We've budgeted 10k for ours but it most likely will come to less xxx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We got married on a Friday. Was £6000 including, dresses, suits, venue, ceremony 100 for evening. Everything all in xx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We paid £11k all in. Married in Jan on a Saturday it was cheaper. Did all of my own table deco and flowers. We had church wedding then sit down meal for 80 and night reception for 130 at a family owned independant hotel. They did absolutely everything and because they were independant were flexible with us bringing our own booze, halving the corkage etc. X

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Ours for absolutely everything was 10k. That included my dress and accessories at 1600. We got married on a Saturday in August so there was added expense there. I also splurged on fresh flowers (I won't tell you the cost of those 😅) we saved up for a couple of years to do it and we had a fantastic time! For our honeymoon we did 3 weeks backpacking in Italy, instead of wedding gifts we asked for contributions towards the honeymoon as we'd already lived together for years prior 😊
We could have done it loads cheaper, but we are only doing it once so we pushed the boat out

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

We did ours for around £10000-12000. Biggest expense was the venue. If you want it cheaper maybe look into registry office weddings. Some of them are beautiful, and then book a venue for the evening. It all depends on what you want abs how much you are willing to spend.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Tara Louise check these comments out. May give u inspo xxxx

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Done mine on a budget and it was a wonderful day. I got things every week or month and I got it all done in 6 months before the day.😁

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

Its hard to give a rough figure as it does depend on what you want numbers wise do you want separate venues etc. Maybe list everything you want. everything your partner wants and see where you can cross over. Remember everything with the word wedding in front cost extra.

UKbride Member 3 Mar 2021

My first wedding cost 500 the second alot more 😂

UKbride Member 4 Mar 2021

Our wedding all in all was about £1,500 😘 has everything we wanted there, only half the people but it wouldn't of cost us much more if people were to come 🤗

UKbride Member 4 Mar 2021

£7k. Happy to help you plan it if you need a hand. I use to help run weddings in a hotel and I can hopefully help xx

UKbride Member 5 Mar 2021

We're getting married in our local registry office for £280, then we're having our reception in a hotel. We aren't getting married till 4:30 as it's a lot cheaper than having an all day wedding. We're not having a wedding breakfast or anything, just a big party after with a buffet and no seating plan. So excited! 4 months to go.
All together spending about 3k, including my dress, flowers, cake, photo booth, photographer etc xx

UKbride Member 5 Mar 2021

I got change out of a grand (€) we just wanted to be married most of that was swallowed up with paperwork and translated paperwork we had the best day with our close family only

UKbride Member 6 Mar 2021

There are some great deals on FB. Gowns 2 You and Rachels brides are clearing out gowns at steal prices...many that were thousands are under £100.

UKbride Member 17 Aug 2021

I am shock at the prices everyone is sayings as my venue and decor cost almost 10k this does not include anything else. :(
