After doing some research I decided not to bother with insurance, paying at least deposits on credit cards gave just as much, if not more, protection. And since, the problems I’ve read about, of insurances not paying out for issues caused by the pandemic has justified my decision further.

We have paid for everything via credit card as we found there was more protection.

You’ll be lucky if you can even get any atm!

We used Debenhams after lots of reviews. 1 week before our wedding our caterer went bust. Debenhams sorted the claim out for us and no issue on payout. Well worth the money. So glad we took it out now

I would say don’t bother I paid for wedding insurance like many others my wedding has been cancelled 4 times they have given us no cover whatsoever and now refuse to cover us for our next back up date. Waste of money.

We used debenhams for our wedding its was about 25 pounds so although we thankfully didnt need to use it, it wasnt a large outlay if a problem had arisen

We got some and our venue took the price we paid for our insurance of the price of our wedding. I'd say it's worth it for the protection it gives you if your suppliers or venue go bust, or in the instances of sudden or unexpected illness/death of yourself or close family.

I had already taken insurance out for my June 2020 wedding which was postponed. I changed the date and asked if it covered things like covid etc. They said no. They said if the venue goes bust because of the pandemic then they won't pay out either. Anything to do with covid is a no. I would however say, still take some insurance out. Its always worth having something than nothing. It's covers many things and claiming what you can is better than nothing x

Were with cover my wedding insurance . They have been brilliant we had to change our date 4 times because of covid , 1st date was last april .2 weeks before our wedding everywhere went into lockdown . They have been brilliant changing everything over time and time again no charges and they also asked if needed to claim for anything or if we have had any losses cant fault them

We are getting married July next year and booked venue date etc last year. Looked at getting wedding insurance but couldn't get any due to COVID. Looked into it and got a credit card just for the wedding as we get much more protection with that than we would have with insurance. So far only paid deposits and am saving separately so we are not throwing in more than needs be at the moment (as you never know what can happen at the moment) then we can pay in full with full amounts when due next year and pay off the card right away. I do look at insurance too but there just isn't any at the moment that I have come across

Find an insurance that will cover global pandemics or som thing long those lines. Many won't cover this, so it's important to look into the fine print. I used Debenhams and they were brilliant and covered that stuff.
