UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Wow that seems alot to me, we only paid £150 but he was friend ofna friend think he usually charges 300 x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

We paid £250 for ours x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Definitely isn't expensive.

Wedding djs are different from normal party djs

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

It really depends on what services the dj is providing. For a basic music package in the evening it seems high, but it's impossible to say because we don't know what else is included. He might be bringing specialist lighting to cheer up the dark room. I've known couples pay over £1000 for a dj.... just depends what service is right for you.
TBH I think dj's are often too cheap considering what they do.

My dad is a wedding DJ and he charges £300 for the night x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

I paid £750 for a full day 12 hours and wedding singer

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

My DJ cost so little I don't even remember how much I paid 🤣

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

How much... not planning on paying over £250

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Our wedding DJ is costing us 250 all night x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Were paying 450 x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Mine was 250 with fab lights and the dance floor was filled all night I think that's way over the top x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

£650 for all day

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

700

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

We have a live band and a DJ which is costing us 1300

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

£420 was our dj cost from 7pm til 1130. They were brilliant x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Seems pretty expensive, even for a wedding. We had a band and then hired some lights and a pa and made a Spotify playlist for about that.

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Ours is £150 x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Thats a bit steep yes I'd say average is 450

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Depends on how long and if they're bringing their own stuff. We had a DJ for the last hour of our wedding but the venue had all the equipment so we would have been charged £100 for the 1 hour. We had a live band for 3 hours before the DJ and that was £1500. x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Mine is £350 and that’s mates rates . I would suggest you shop around for a DJ , £700 is way to steep for a DJ !

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

We're paying 675 but thats for DJ, photo mirror, mr & Mrs game and the DJ also takes photos through the night xx

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

£450 for 7pm-11pm

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Oooftt I'd expect Calvin Harris for that much! I'd maybe shop around a bit x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Ours is £695 for the evening & has an amazing setup x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

I think I paid £550 but could have been £650. Was in 2016. that was for a band. live music during ceremony plus 2 x 45 mins live sets and DJ ing for the rest of the evening until 1am

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Ours was £1300 as was a band and they also did the dj spots. Was amazing and worth every penny. 😍

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

I paid £150 and he was awful 🙈 definitely worth paying a bit more. It sets the vibe for your whole evening

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Mine was £300 included in the package offered by the venue

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Just make a Spotify playlist and get a good speaker 😅

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Ours is £150 from 1pm until 7pm. He is brilliant, I had him for my 40th birthday party and the dance floor was never empty.

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

I do think that is quite expensive.

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Im paying 750 in total. But thats including light up BAZINGA xxx

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

We paid £375 but they were shit and messed us about with money 3 times! Didn't play what we'd asked for and generally didn't seem to care. And this was a local company recommended to us, my husband actually knows the owner too so yea not impressed 😒🙄

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Mine was 500 23 years ago.

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Way too expensive. I paid £225 for five hours

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Ours was £250

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

That seems excessive. We were quoted £200, but paid him £300 because he was brilliant 👏

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

Mine is £250

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

That's ridiculous I paid £250 which seems like the average x

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

We paid £175 He was amazing. Even did us a slide show of pictures we put together and Kari okie and that was last year xx

UKbride Member 8 Dec 2020

My DJ is £575 but that’s for the full day, he’s doing everything from music for the guests arriving, my entry, while photos are being taken, during dinner a light background music and mc’ing then the disco.

UKbride Member 9 Dec 2020

Im paying £100 as he's a close family friend but he's usually £250, im getting married in 2022 xx
