How much is everyone paying for their wedding photographer? I have been quoted £2000! I want to make sure I have good photos but I don't really want to spend that much money.
Mine is £1300 that's for all day from getting ready, venue reception evening do etc
Mines like £599 got good recommendations x
I paid £1100 for mine, was meant to be £1200 but we knew him. He stayed for the whole day and we had fantastic results! You get what you pay for in wedding photography
Mine is £945 for the whole day plus albums etc.
£1000 and thats for 2 photographs. Shepherds Photography based in Midlands. They worked from 12.30 til 11.30
We spend just over 900. We got some fantastic photos which really reflected our day and looked really natural.
I paid £1,300 including a really lovely album. Make sure you meet them to make sure you get on and have a really good look at their portfolio before you agree to anything
I think mines £1500 but videographer and photographer
We paid £1100 for ours and he was an award winning photographer. We had amazing photos of the day and he asked if it was OK to bring an apprentice along. We ended up getting extra unexpected photos from that and her photos were incredible too.
Mines £495 but we're having an afternoon wedding so only paying for a half day!!
£959 full day
We have a photographer and a videographer for £2,000 xx
995 for ours. That's from guests arriving straight through to the first dance. I've also to feed her but I don't mind that xx
I'm not paying anything but thats perks of having an uncle who does photography for a living
£900 for 2 photographers
◊ 10 hours photography
◊ 600 edited high resolution images, mix of colour & black and white
◊ Private online gallery to share images with family & friends
◊ Wooden USB 20 prints
◊ Engagement shoot
◊ All travel
Ours is 1000 at a reduced cost for the full day. She’s a friend of mine. We’ve had a pre wedding photo shoot too with her recently x
Mines £350 from bride preparation to speeches x
we paid £500 that was for guest arrival at venue (prior to ceremony) through to first dance and cutting cake at the evening reception... she was fabulous xx
Im paying 800 for 2 photographers, one for OH and one for me.. i have them for the whole day too we also get a pre wedding shoot
We negotiated £600 for 4 hours. I think she charged around £1300 for a full day x
I paid £1300 for my photographer for 10 hours, plus I got an album, a USB with 700 photos and a slideshow of our favourite pictures to our chosen music and it was all presented is a gorgeous box. We also got an "engagement shoot" about 2 months before hand with 100 photos as part of the package
Ours is £750 I think and includes the full day and evening, final payment isn't due until we've seen and are happy with the photos. Anything over 1k is ridiculous. But it's the best investment for the wedding.
Just over £1000 but we got a discount for being a weekday
I think a lot of this depends on location (do they need to travel?), duration and also time of year if peak or off peak. These photos will be the things that last longer than flowers or the music from the DJ. It seems like a lot of money but it really is an investment.
Hi! I’m a wedding photographer, and my packages start from £1500 and go up to £2800, all include full day coverage and two professional photographers for the entire day, and images delivered on a beautiful wooden personalised USB and box, and on an online gallery so you can share easily with your family and friends. Then there are of course extras included in the more expensive packages, including albums, thank you cards and engagement shoots!
In terms of cost, I think it is difficult to say £x is a lot or not much, as it all depends how much experience your photographer has and also how much you get included in that price. Ultimately, if your wedding photographer is professional, experienced and reliable, and you adore your wedding photographers style and their photos, and dream of them photographing your wedding, then absolutely they are worth the money. Your photographs are all that you have left after your day (and video if you have a videographer)... the cake has been eaten, the dress in a box in the loft and so on. Look at the cost of your photographer as an investment rather than expense, as if you receive incredible wedding photographs you will appreciate them forever, as will your future generations, and you will forever be grateful you decided to make that investment ❤️
This is a blog written for one of my clients (who also happens to be my Fiance) who is a wedding photographer. There is so much more to take into consideration than just one days work but do remember you only get one wedding day, we bump into so many married couples who regret not investing more into their photographs.
Im paying £269
£450 from the Scottish wedding photography company
£650 all day! And all photos on USB!
We paid £800 for photos which include engagement shoot and album plus 10 prints a calender and thank you cards. We paid an extra £200 for video plus 10 disc.
Around 900 and she was with us from 8am til after 11pm. We had around 2000 wonderful photos x
1600 and worth every penny!!!
£4k including video but we get a lot back from them too, and their service is incredible, so much so that when covid allows we go out for drinks and on day trips with them so they can get to know us as a couple
£500 for full day coverage and she is amazing xxx
I've not booked one yet but won £500 off one called the Kensington photographer. They are about 1500 for full package and rushed photos, look them up 😊
We paid £750 and he was incredible, photos were beautiful
Mine was £800 and I have to be honest I wish I'd spent more. My wedding pictures are awful and at the time we stupidly decided against a videographer so the pictures are all I have. As they are the only visual thing you have left from your wedding day (unless you have a video) I'd say spend what you need to. I really really wish I had!! (also really do your homework into the photographer as I thought ours was good... Until I saw mine... But I didn't do thorough enough research).
I didn't think you could mess up photos but you really can!
Best of luck to you :) x
I paid 1200 i think. They came to the venue a few weeks before to check it out. Our venue was Snowdonia and we live in Cheshire (2 1/2 drive each way). 2 photographers and covered 12 hours on the day. Got all the pics edited on a memory stick (about 600 pictures) x
£550 in the North West for an amazing photographer for 5 hours. That included a considerable amount of travel too.
Were paying 1250 for a full day, until we need them right late on, image printed and framed for people to sign, professional photos in the evening do for guests to buy on the spot!
450 for 10 hours plus all my photos
£1000 but I got £250 discount for having a weekday out of season! I don't have video though X
£900 for the full day x
Mine was £200 for a special moments package where he came for a couple of hours (ceremony, family photos and evening guests arriving) and it was perfect for me.
Ask around and see what deals, packages, special extras are offered.
If you're looking to save a bit - why not look at photography students in last year of college/University? X
We paid £800. My fiance is a wedding photographer and his most expensive package is £1,200.
£1700 but we will have 2 photographers for that to capture both bride and groom prep! We getting all the images on USB but no album.
Were quoted £1300 the photographer has given us a discount of £300 so we're only paying £1000
£1250 I think, that is for just one photographer but no physical photos, just digital
I hired mine just for five hours at £500. Didn't see a point of having him all day and night
We booked 4 hours for £350. That included all photos edited etc on a memory stick. We had a 3pm wedding so 4 hours was plenty. I didn't want photos at the house etc
Try casual captures. I paid £900 got 12 hours. He also prints photos for guests on the evening so they have a memory to take home. Also he sets up a display for the evening reception showing photos from the daytime so evening guests don’t miss out. Great husband and wife team, amazing photos. I got around 1200. He is north east.
Just don’t go with the cheapest, you will get photos with ugly background, like toilet doors.. I’ve seen plenty of disappointing photos with no wow factor as I’m a wedding florist, the majority are beautiful but there is always one or two cheap photographers who just don’t have a clue.
£1795 for 2 photographers all day and night. Drone picture, large 30x30 canvas, pre wedding shoot and 12x 12 album.
We spend £1000 for a couple of hours. I did my research and he had lots of good reviews. We even saw samples of his work. What nobody tells you is ask him/her for at least two full weddings that they’ve done, that way you will see how consistent they are. Many photographers only put the nice shots up on their website. We didn’t do this as he already had quite a few pictures on his website but really we should have. The photos were very disappointing.
This lady is truly amazing and is not extortionate in price, travels all over. https://www.facebook.com/Blossomrosephotography/
I’m paying £800 ( we got a small early booking discount) for 2 photographers which includes all the images taken digitally. No pushy you must buy an album /prints from me. They are available to purchase at a later day if you want to.
