I've rearranged my wedding and now getting married in August 2020. I have a few more things to book but with everything that has gone on I just don't feel the love for planning my wedding anymore. Does anyone feel the same?

? August 2021 do you not mean?

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yes! It's really hard to be motivated to do anything at the moment x

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yes I feel exactly the same as I've already had mine postponed until April the 24th and it looks like we'll be no better by then

2021?

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yes. What should be a happy time just feels so sad. I think as we get more certainty it will come back. We are also postponed to August 2021

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yep! Rearranged for September 2021 I'm really struggling with caring about it at the moment. I don't want to get myself too excited until I know that it will go ahead xx

I feel exactly the same! Ours has been moved to October 2021 and I've no motivation to do anything. It's sad because it should be an exciting time to plan and get everything booked.

Yes! Me and my partner have lost all motivation with planning ours and we were really enjoying the planning process before all this. We were meant to get married in May and moved it to May 2021, we’re just hoping things are a bit better by then! X

Yep, feel exactly the same 😞 x

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Feel exactly the same way, I’m due to get married also in august 2021 and the thought of booking anything else scares me x

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yes, ours was suppose to be June 2020 now moved to June 2021 no motivation at all 🤦🏻‍♀️

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

I feel the same we have moved it twice now 😩

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

I've been exactly the same.we was supposed to get married in june but postponed until next year. I was making bits and Bob's all the time until it got postponed and now I cant get motivated again

Know exactly how you feel. Postponed from jan 21 to jan 22 and have been feeling ambivalent towards the wedding since April. But last week, I walked past a dress shop and saw a dress I fell in love with and all my excitement has come flooding back. Hopefully something small like that will be an excitement trigger for anyone feeling the same 💕

I postponed from August this year to 2022 as I just have lost the love and excitement and didn’t want to be stressing and only having a few months to plan things properly next year and just hope I get the motivation back xx

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yes I feel the same way. Was meant to be getting married in December, then moved to 2021 but lost so much interest and anxiety was through the roof so we’ve postponed to 2022 now. Feel like a weight has been lifted and I will start to plan again next year and I can get excited again x

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yep! We’ve moved twice, we’re now April 17th, tried to rearrange again as can’t see numbers lifting from end of March to 80 but venue have said as the restrictions are until March at the minute we can’t move without being penalised financially. Need to know what April will look like 😞 just hate the waiting/not knowing, not fun anymore

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yeah same here. I just can't be bothered now. Been together nearly 11 years so what's another few months 😂😂

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Postponed to April 11th. Doubt if will change. Don’t want guests in masks and small numbers. The money we’ve already paid is as good as wasted. No interest in planning now

UKbride Member 26 Nov 2020

Yep totally feel the same! Not to mention the amount of products that had our original date on...is now ruined. We moved our date to August 2021, but still apprehensive as bridesmaid dresses need to ordered 14 weeks notice before the wedding...dreading having to pay out (just in case) and then unable to have enough time to order dresses in case restrictions are still in place...which means we’ll have to reduce the bridesmaids/guest lists. It’s all so disheartening...just fed up with it all, but I’m sure I’m not alone. Fingers crossed Covid19 will soon be behind us and we can move forward and hope to feel excitement for our wedding again! xx

I’m getting married March and I just can’t get excited cos I’m so worried it’s gonna be cancelled 😔 I get how you feel it’s a horrible situation
