I'm supposed to behaving my hen party in March and I don't want to cancel it but it's looking like I will only be able to have 6 people there. There was supposed to be 12 of us so how do I tell 6 of them they are no longer coming?

I wouldn't be so hasty making decisions yet, its only October and rules on numbers can change. My hen is 23rd April and if I make any changes, it will be three weeks prior

A hell of alot can change in 5 months. Let’s face it we don’t even know what’s happening tomorrow realistically. I wouldn’t make any decisions right now. But if at the time that is the ‘rules’ split in to 2 parties. But let’s face it if the rules are still 6 wedding might still be low guests so you might decide to postpone all together 🤷‍♀️

I agree with Anna I'm looking at mine for July as getting married in August I'm not making plans til next year til things settle better things can change and hopefully for the better x

I had mine only a couple of weeks ago, I originally had 13. The way I got around it was by having a 'mini' hen party, which consisted of the mums, bridesmaids and myself (even tho I obvs wanted everyone there). No-one seemed to mind as they all understood due to the current situation that we just couldn't do a normal hen do. And do something all together when this all clears up. Hope this helps x

If it still remains the same, do 2 groups. Then you get 2 parties and don't have to let anyone down

Or

Just book two tables of 6 next to each other, or as close as allowed .

I booked Brookbank farm in September 2019 for a long weekend stay in July 2020. Government restrictions meant we couldn't legally go and now I'm having to take the owner to court for our money back. Only two households could stay over night and we had up to 18 people from different households. I hope you still manage to have your hen party!

Have two! Split the group in half and just have two separate ones xx

Do not worry about it till nearer the time, a lot can happen in a week or a month fingers crossed we are back to some normality come March and if restrictions are still in place there is always a way round it. Enjoy Xmas etc and when January comes about think about it more 😊

If you have to stick to 6 the it's the perfect excuse to party twice lol

UKbride Member 23 Oct 2020

If I were you, I’d have two of six! That way, no one misses out and you get to celebrate twice!! xx

Don’t stress too much yet, it’s all so changeable. I’m getting married next week, and have had three different hen ‘gatherings’ so I could see everyone!
