Diy wedding tips?

Hi, brand new to all this and very excited to get started, we would love for our wedding to be in 2022, and like most we are working to a budget. I would like to make/do as much stuff as possible myself and hints or tips?

What kind of theme do you have? I am happy to help with ideas for DIY...I'm the Queen of that! But you have to have a vision...love books? Music? Your first date...childhood? There are tons of ways to save a penny and still look great. Plus, consider outdoor weddings, now that they are legal here. I am American, we always could have weddings wherever, and that alone can save a ton of money! Weddings abroad are also becoming cheaper because no one is traveling, and in that case they are all inclusive [often free!] and there is a trend now of minomonies and then a bigger party later. You may find that taking advantage of the deals may make you want to do it next year!

Amazon and eBay are your friends. You can get wedding stuff so much cheaper from there. Make your own invites if you can and make your own place settings ect.. Good luck ☺️. Xx

Look on Pintrest for ideas and inspiration. Then get a hot glue gun and have a ball 🥰

I downloaded Bride Book and then put in my full budget. I could then see how much I had to spend on each aspect of the wedding and it really helped me to stay organised.
Don't forget to enjoy the process of planning your big day ❤️

Thank you everyone, We would like quite simple decorations nothing over the top, we are literally opposites so there isn't really a theme we could go along with.
We don't want flowers or feathers on the tables, we wanted a barn style wedding but it is proving to be very expensive 🙄 x

I had a Harry Potter themed wedding and I made everything myself! Wands, HP characters, flying keys the cake decor and even golden snitch ferrero’s! Pinterest and bride book help for budget and ideas and I second the hot glue gun and sewing etc! And I’m not an artsy person lol My wedding was 6K in total that’s was everything, venue, food decor DJ cake dress photographer the lot ! Good luck! X

Get yourself on Pinterest! My fiancé has let me do the whole wedding, she’s literally picked a colour scheme, her dress and the bridesmaids dresses and left everything else up to me! Couldn’t have done it without Pinterest!! Good luck!!
