honeymoon

Is it bad luck to have the honeymoon before the wedding? We have just postponed our wedding to next April. I work in a school so can only have school holidays off, we get married at the end of Easter holidays. Im tempted to book our honeymoon the 1st week of half term (plus I will have a tan for the wedding). We have 2 children which my mother will have while we go away but can't expect her to book more holiday off of work for us. What is everyone's opinion? All through our 11 year relationship we have never done anything to the book!

I'm also a teacher and we're getting married next year in October half term - I'm planning on having our "honeymoon" in the summer holidays prior to the wedding. Just have to get my fiance to agree!

Be careful of tan lines, you wouldn’t want tan lines in photos I’m sure

I know someone who did this. Her husband works in RAF so honeymoon and wedding was arranged for he’d home and on leave. As long as it works for you go for it.

We have had our wedding and honeymoon cancelled too. I rebooked the honeymoon for 28th December and we are still waiting for a date for the wedding. Theres a big chance we will go on honeymoon before getting married. But we don't care😂we just want to go now

We’re getting married October 2021 and having our honeymoon August 2021 🙂 x

You may miss some of the honeymoon 'perks' as we've been told to get ours we need a copy of the marriage certificate, some hotels seem a little stubborn! But a free bottle of something is probably not worth a risk/delay!! 😁

I think the rule book has officially been thrown out of the window this year!!! Do what ever you can, when ever you can! As long as you enjoy it and it works for you both then why not?!! 🥰

Sounds like you have already made your mind up! Just go for it! It’s a celebration regardless! And when you come home after the wedding have a date night somewhere xxx

We moved our wedding and were fully prepared to have the honeymoon before, tui took the decision out of our hands and cancelled it so now its booked right after the wedding again but honestly we would have been happy either way!

We were planning a holiday before our wedding this October! I think it’s a great idea. Some quality time together before the big day sounds fab.

That’s just another holiday before the wedding and an excuse for another one after 😜

It better not be bad luck - I’m on my honeymoon right now and my wedding got postponed to September. Surely we’ve had all the bad luck we can get?

Do what suits you and your family. There’s no rule book for how things are done x

UKBride. If you knew that your supplier portal how no information what so ever about when your supplier's contracts are coming to an end, any information on how to cancel or even a button to cancel. What could you do differently?

Do it! I was so sick on my honeymoon after the stresses of wedding planning! Got tonsillitis on the aeroplane over there 😭
