I stayed in mine, I never wanted to take it off! However, I've been to weddings where the bride has had a separate outfit for the evening. It's completely your choice :).

I stayed in my wedding dress - i figure whats the point of getting a beautiful wedding dress to only wear it for a few hours. But its personal choice x

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

Stayed in mine ,you only where it once but its a personal choice xxx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

Stayed in mine! Wanted to wear it every minute of the day loved it!

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I loved my dress far too much to change out of it and it was quite big too πŸ˜‚

I wore my main dress from 12pm-11pm then changed into my back up dress for the last few hours for comfort.
My main dress was very fitted and boned so had a different dress for the night. It was a white sequin dress from Quiz.

Stayed in mine all day πŸ₯°Payed way to much money to not wear it all day plus I just loved it so much and wouldn’t of had time to get changed xx

I had two dresses and change after the meal and before the evening do. I loved having 2 dresses, my hubby also changed too so all our evening photos are totally different which is nice.

I got married at 4pm so I kept my dress on, but if I'd found another dress or jumpsuit I liked I might have changed. X

Stay in it. Spend all the money on a beautiful dress I say make the most of it πŸ€—

Interesting post anyone got pics of their evening dress? In comparison to their day time one? X

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I was thinking about doing this but I love my dress so much I don't know if I would want to change. If I find a dress that is just as stunning and maybe more comfortable by chance πŸ˜… then I will use it evening do x

I will be wearing mine the whole time (fingers crossed things are back to normal by 31 Oct 2020)

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I wore it all day, but I did have two weddings (one legal, one big party) so technically I had two dresses anyway lol

You could always take a different outfit just incase you want to change....

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I changed about half way through the party, as couldn't do much dancing in my big dress, my hen party dress was white so I wore that x

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I stayed in mine all day. I decided that it was worth far to much money to just be in it for a few hours. Xx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I wore my dress all day. I didn't want to wear anything else but it is personal preference so go with your gut feeling. 😊 xx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I plan on wearing mine all night! Too beautiful to only wear half a day 😊 My July wedding got cancelled there at the weekend, our backup date is 31st Oct but venue have advised us to book another backup date for next year. So gutted. It now may be 6th March 😣

I got changed in the evening and I'm so glad I did. I was so hot on our day and my wedding dress had too many layers lol. Best thing I done xx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I bought a dress for the evening but ended up staying in my wedding dress because it was much more comfy than I anticipated. I would say if you’re only getting one dress make sure it’s comfy πŸ™‚

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I had a late wedding got married at 4.30 went straight into reception after photos I never changed but my best mate had a full wedding day n got changed in the evening so she could dance better xx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I wore mine all day, felt like a princess it was so lovely.

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I was 17 weeks pregnant and we was in Cyprus I wore my dress all day but my best friend had. A dress change at her wedding its however u will feel most comfortable I still danced all night in my dress xxx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I wore mine all night. It was a tea length dress though so was more manageable. Although my MOH (and once or twice my groom) still had to help with toilet duties πŸ˜‚

I thought about changing in the lead upto the day, i tend to get hot quickly and don't like feeling too hot as i tend to faint! - but by the time the day arrived it all went so quickly i wouldn't even have had time to think about changing!!

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I'm staying in mine all the way through! Partly because it's too pretty to take off but also because it's a corset back and once I'm in it I don't want to be faffing about getting out of it 😁 x

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I got changed x i got married in september of 2019

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

My best friend changed out of hers on her day but I kept mine on all night. Personal preference but I was so busy I didnt realise how fast the time went so glad I kept it on.

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I loved my dress that much that i didnt even want to take it off at 1am lol personal preference but i wanted everybody to see my actual wedding dress x

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

Im hoping and praying ours can go ahead on 26th sept ! Not heard anything yet and our venue is closed up to now til july πŸ˜₯ keeping everything crossed we have waited so long xx

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I kept mine on till about 11:30pm and got into my pj's, all my bridesmaids did the same, we all had matching ones. I had my wedding dress on for 12 long hours and I wouldn't have had it any other way

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I changed as mine was quite heavy and had a big train that took up most of the dance floor! πŸ˜‚ but I was in it from 11am to 8pm(ish)!

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I stayed in my dress I was so determined. In hind sight I wish I brought another x

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

My wedding was meant to be October 3rd, now postponed to March 20th 2021... plan on wearing my dress all night as I feel like a princess in it 😍

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

I got changed just before the first dance as our dance was choreographed and would have been impossible in my beautiful dress. Also getting back to the hotel after the wedding would have been impossible in my dress - we shared a taxi with 5 other people! However my second dress was similar style to my wedding dress - same lace, off the shoulder, loose skirt. It was just a mint green instead of white and was tea length, rather than floor length with train! But I think it depends on the style of wedding dress. I know plenty of brides who chose to stay in their dresses the whole night - their dresses tended to be looser, A-line style or short dresses. The 2 brides I know who had fishtails both changed as it would be difficult to dance in them. 1 bride I know had 3 dresses. It's your day to do what you want.

I wore mine all day and night. No way I was taking it off after I spent so much on it πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

UKbride Member 28 Apr 2020

When I got married, I was planning on having 2 outfit changes but that didn't happen (due to someone locking my bridal room and wasn't sure who had the key)

Thank you all, I shall see and have think on what I want to do, I may just stay in all day and then get my Pjs on before travelling home, as I wont fit on a seat in my dress and it's big and got very long train xx πŸ’πŸ·πŸΎπŸ‘°

UKbride Member 29 Apr 2020

I had 2. My first dress I wore until about 9pm. Lace, train, a line and very traditional. I changed into a sweetheart ball gown that was light and airy and I loved it x

UKbride Member 29 Apr 2020

I stayed in mine all night wanted to wear it as long as possible xx

UKbride Member 29 Apr 2020

UKbride Member 29 Apr 2020

I got married in March and wore my dress all day, to be fair looking back your so busy I wouldn’t have had time to change my dress, I had just enough time to change my shoes and bag and take my veil off and I got married at 1:30pm
