Hello, my Fiancé is a gamer online and although he has family who he could ask to be his best man however he doesn't trust them with the speeches. Which I understand as they're happy to call him nasty things and swear a tremendous amount which they think is funny, we find really inappropriate. Anyway for this reason, he's thinking of not having a best man but also feels like he'll look silly without a best man and a best man speech. Is anyone else in a situation like this?
Personally I would talk to whoever your fiancé is wanting as a bestman and inform them of what you would find acceptable in a speech. My Maid of Honour knows that my family aren’t keen on swearing and doesn’t want to embarrass me. At the end of the day it’s your special day who’s to tell you what’s wrong or right. Just enjoy your day x
