Confetti

Confetti....are you supplying packets or hoping the guests will bring some? I am unsure about what to do. I was thinking of getting a bucket and filling it with confetti packets for the guests. Will this go to waste or will guests use it? What are your plans for the big day? Please help xx

I plan to have some ready for guests, maybe only 20/30 bags so there is no waste xx

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We got a packet between two but it never got used in the end

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We're bringing our own confetti for the guests - I'd never even heard of people bringing their own confetti until my MIL to be mentioned it for the last wedding we went to! XX

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Always a good idea to check with the venue before you go ahead with confetti

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

It all depends on were u are getting married at the church we were married in we were not aloud confetti !!! But this didn't stop the wedding guests they just waited till we were outside the gates xx

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We forget to take a confetti picture - even though we planned to!

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I’ve packed biodegrade for guests at my wedding

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I've just packaged mine up, last wedding I went to I took some and only 1 other person! people dont seem to bother these days but I'd like a confetti shot so providing some for our guests x

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We are having a december wedding and are having bags of biodegradable snow confetti for guests to throw ❄

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Double check with your venue, we are having ceremony and reception in the one place and we aren't allowed confetti. If not how about bubbles

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We had dried flower petals in cardboard cones x groomsmen handed them out before the service

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I'm providing biodegradable, to save any trouble with the venue if people use the wrong stuff we figured it was just easier

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I’m not having any, I’m getting married in a castle and it’s not allowed. I’m not a fan anyway to be honest...

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I supplied mine - i brought a big bag of biodegradable confetti petals from Amazon and made individual bags for my guests. X

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I had no confetti... Just bubbles

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Make sure to double check with your venue first as some Venues don't allow it.
I have brought my own confetti to a wedding before (i used to think that was the norm) but because my venue only allow Bio-degradeable confetti I will be providing this for the guests just to make sure it is all fine to use as I would love a confetti shot! 😁

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Check with your venue as a lot no longer let you have confetti if it’s the paper style if it’s dried flower leaves they are usually happy with it

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We let the guests bring it if they wanted to. We had too much other stuff to plan! There was a few people who brought it and we have a few photos with confetti x

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We made cones ready which our grooms men handed out to everyone whilst we were signing the documents. We got some lovely shots. Make sure you check with your venue as some have rules and also choose your colour carefully as you want them to stand out in your photos 😊 we found ours on amazon x

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I’m getting plenty of confetti because I just love the look of those photos! Planning to get natural flower petals or biodegradable confetti 🎉

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I got a bag and emptied it into a lovely cardboard box (both from Flower Confetti). We did our confetti outside so after the ceremony we got one of the bridal party to hold the box by the door and encourage people to take a handful ready for when we came out. As others have said check with your venue on what they allow though.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We will have bubbles instead
They are looks amazing on photos too 🙂

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I had some amongst a job lot of things I bought so put one in each of my bridesmaids clutch bags (which I'd bought along with a few other handy things) so know I'd have at least 4 packs, but others also bought there own :)

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I had confetti cones and my flower girls handed them out to guests at the end of the ceremony. Made for lovely photos.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Providing our own, our venue has rules

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We provided confetti for everyone, we wanted a confetti shot in our photos, no one brought any of their own and we only had a handful of packets left

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

My wedding planner told me to provide some and it’s a good job I did because I don’t think many people brought some. We put dried coloured rose petals in little bags in a basket by the door (I got them off eBay), I’m really glad we did because the photos that came from it were great. I think most of them are but if you get some make sure it’s biodegradable because a lot of places won’t let you use any other x

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Our venue specified that only biodegradable confetti is allowed so we're supplying dried rose petals.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We are supply our confetti to suit our colour theme. We bought our confetti cones from Picket Fence Weddings and they’re gorgeous.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We supplied some just in case and put on the invites about biodegradable only. I think Only 1 person brought any so it was a good thing we did our own

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We had baskets of confetti ready - though it then poured with rain so we didn't use any. It was just loose in the wicker baskets though, not packaged. Some still brought their own.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I didn’t supply any, I just put on the invites that the venue would only accept biodegradable and everyone brought their own! Xx

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We bought 2 full boxes (18 ) of biodegradable confetti (from Amazon) for our confetti group shot. Used one and sold the other afterwards.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

I totally forgot to take confetti to the last wedding we went to 🤦‍♀️ They hadn't supplied any either so I'll be making sure we provide biodegradable confetti at ours

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We used popcorn to be eco friendly (plus it’s my husbands favourite snack) and had two big boxes of it. Usher handed it out just before we exited the church.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Louis Luck?

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Please, PLEASE make sure it is biodegradable as the birds do tend to eat it otherwise xx

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Buy a heart shaped hole punch and make your own out of scrap paper or leaves, cheap, biodegradable and pretty :) https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/219691288060031138/?$ios_deeplink_path=pinterest://pin/219691288060031138&$android_deeplink_path=pinterest://pin/219691288060031138&amp_client_id=20df9UZW6v8wi_XuTQ-JMRbo6c0550ajDPYX_n3Jwxe9W8HYgT96pw5U7bnQcvgz&utm_source=168&utm_medium=2160&current_page_url=https://www.pinterest.co.uk/amp/pin/526921225136924495/&install_id=a52a7094&$fallback_url=https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/219691288060031138/&_branch_match_id=758037898433020564

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

People dont seem to bother these days so we bought it for our guests

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

We're having bubbles instead of confetti.

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Ours needs to be biodegradable so we are providing for our guests x

UKbride Member 17 Feb 2020

Rachael Newton you need to find out about confetti

UKbride Member 18 Feb 2020

We had to have natural petals which biodegrade at our venue (completely agree that this is a good option and better clean up wise)
We bought little packets from eBay which were really cheap in bulk

UKbride Member 18 Feb 2020

We had bubbles :)
