We found our photographer on instagram, they had photographed our venue before so were tagged in a few posts. we managed to book her for £1120 for the whole day. it would have cost £1600 but we put a deposit down before her annual price increase and we managed to get a further discount with ours being an off peak wedding ( we tie the knot in March )

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Our photographer is £600 for a full day. And we get all the photos edited and on a USB stick.
We get married in June.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Looking at between £600-£1200 for a photographer worth their salt xx

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

£1100 ish. We got 2 photographers, all day coverage from getting ready to just after the first dance, at least 1000 edited images on usb stick, plus a 60 page photo book.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Without knowing where your located thats a hard question to ask. Our lowest wedding package is £1150 which includes full day coverage and a beautiful album. We are based in Kent & there are many photographers who charge less than that but the quality of their work is not as good. Wedding photographs are the most important part of a wedding and therefore you should invest in them accordingly

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Our photographer was really good. Different and reasonable. https://m.facebook.com/adamhewittphotography/?locale2=en_GB

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

You can get good and you can get cheap, you will never get both. A good wedding photographer will be £1000 . Remember they are not just paying for their time on the day, you are paying for good equipment, editing time after the wedding and their expertise. Wedding photography is a specific skill, even within the industry. I work with professional photographers and while many are skilled at landscapes etc they cannot manage weddings. You need someone who is diplomatic and with good people skills to get the photos you want.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Karl's photography is who I've booked he is amazing and will tailor your package to whatever you want xx

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I was quoted 1395 for all day and it appears to be about average I think. there are cheaper ones out there but I get suspicious if they are too cheap haha.

Hi there. Not sure what location you're in but I charge just £950 for a full day's package (12 hours). With that you get all photos on USB in a presentation box, some prints in there too and a free Pre Wedding shoot.

Hope this helps!

1200 for us and they were one of the cheapest we found

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We paid £600 for 8 hours and we're happy with our photos. We had the option to create an album after we received our usb for around £275 x

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Estelle Carver I highly recommend! estelles_picturepatch

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

My quotes have been between £1400 - £1750. 8hr coverage, fully edited images 500-600 all on a USB. I think the pricing will be area dependent.
The pictures is one of the only things that lasts after the day so pretty important. I’m torn on the styles to go for as me&fiance are not even keen on our picture being taken - we mainly want great pictures for the kids to have. X

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I charge 1000.00 ten hours and images edited on USB. Includes pre wedding shoot too x

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We have chosen a photographer that's £999, which includes an engagement shoot and all day photography. He is local to us (East Sussex).

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We’ve got our photographer all day from wedding prep to first dance, all photos in an album and all photos on a usb stick for £695.he photographed a school friends wedding and her photos are fantastic that’s why we went with him

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

this is how long is a piece of string really, i think the average price in our area is about £1600 and average in the country about £1500, i am at £1580 for all day coverage with a book www.helensarah.com

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Jon Dow at Keylight photography is a brilliant photographer and good price too

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I’m paying £1500 for 2 photographers from morning all the way up until the night, they will capture myself getting ready and also my fiancée. Hope that helps 😊

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We booked our photographer after visiting him at a wedding fayre. He offered 15% off his prices if you booked him because of visiting him there xx

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Andy Dufton, Charlotte Atkinson- both excellent

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Where do you live

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I’m paying £200 for 4 hours. Groom and bride arrival/ ceremony. Group photos etc I wasn’t fond on having one for the reception as people tend to prefer to relax. (That’s just my opinion🙈) xx

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We paid approx £700 for ours, from 11am til 6pm. Website looked great, reviews seemed good. Met, saw albums of work, all great. Got our pictures 5 weeks after wedding, very disappointed. I spent 5 days photoshopping. Ensure you meet a few, maybe get personal recommendations of friends, don't skimp on money. Good luck x

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

My photographer is there from bridal prep (10am-ish) through to 10pm at night and is costing £995.
We get a full day of coverage and photos on a USB in a nice storage box. Think it went up to £1229 if we wanted the album.
She has already done my cousins wedding this time last year but I met her an event a few years before so have been following her work for years so i knew she was who I wanted and what i'll get 😊

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

How much do you value your wedding photos? Because that's the price you will pay. Other people's experiences are just that, their experience in what they were looking for. Some couples are happy to spend £200 and are genuinely happy. You may require a different style and approach, that may come at a different price.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I paid 450 and there were 3 photographers for the whole day, I had hundreds of photos and was so happy with them, they are a family company I got a USB with all the photos on. X

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We paid £750 and he was with us from 9am until 8pm. Received all 800-ish photos on a USB - we are doing the album ourselves with the photos we liked.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I tend to charge between £800-£1,600 depending on timing. This is for an unlimited amount of images too. I’m an award winning photographer with some of the best kit available. Just look out for experience and authenticity 🙂 www.peggy-pollock.com/weddings

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Stuart James highly recommend

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Prices also depend on your area. In my area the price ranges vary between £600-£1300 due to some of the locations used for weddings.
A friend got married further away and had a local photographer from that area and it cost her £1800 for a whole day

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Our photographer does different packages which range in price. We have the middle-ish package which starts from bridal Preparation to first dance. £1200. The prices above this include things like pre wedding photo shoots and framed pints and leather bound photo albums. Prices below are ceremony and group photos. Cheapest is £900 and most expensive is £2000

Make sure you check your photographer out. Look at their portfolios and reviews and other work they do. Don't just go for someone because they're cheapest. Remember this is a day with precious moments that can't be repeated. I'm on a few photography groups and some of the horror stories I've heard, or some new photographers shooting weddings who aren't experienced enough is shocking. Wedding photography is a skill in its self. If they're new to it make sure you check out their other work too and find out how long they've been shooting their other work for. Price is usually an idecator of experience. Gear costs an awful lot and decient editing takes hours upon hours. But, you can get deals too. And make sure you find someone who matches the style of photos you want. Some people are just happy with basic. Others want a specific look. It all depends on what you want and how important they are too you too. Photography is a huge part of our day. It's really important to me so there was only one photographer I was interested in from the off.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I had about four quotes that were £700-£1000. I wasn’t going to spend over 1k but still needed an amazing photographer. I found someone who has a perfect style but is still in my budget. Helps if you can get recommendations from friends or family that might do you a deal, or take advantage of promotions I know a lot of photographers done January sales! I’m paying £800 for all day, from getting ready to evening dance, all photos sent to us digitally.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

1300 think I paid with photo booth and she was worth every penny she did the normal photos and then she did fun photos which made it so much more special

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We have gone with The Little Photo Firm, they are very reasonable for price and the amount of time you have them for. We've paid £450, that's from bridal prep to an hour after the first dance. All our photos will be on a USB, fully edited to print at our leisure. They are also in fb too xxx

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

£699 do the full day x

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

It really important that you get on with your photographer in order to get the best out your day. Obviously the price is a factor but don't go for someone unless you get on with them. It makes the day so much easier as they are very involved. We loved our photographer and she is a fond part of our days memories. I know others who would say the opposite of theirs and wished they had shopped about more

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I managed to get a full day with all original and edited shots on a USB for £600. 8am-9pm

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Where are you in the uk?
My photographer for July next year is £1000

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We paid 300 for half a day as the wedding was only 3pm - about 7pm - but she got to the church around 2.30pm to take photos beforehand.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Hi! So my prices start from £1195, and the packages are as follows:

Package One

- Pre-wedding consultation, with a coffee on me!
- Photography services on the wedding day from morning preparations to approximately 30 minutes after first dance
- Second professional photographer for entire time
- All images provided on a beautiful presentation USB stick in a gorgeous personalised light maple box
- Online wedding gallery, which you are free to share with your friends and family wherever they may be in the world
- Unlimited personal print licence

£1195
- All of the above plus:
- 1 x exquisite, professionally printed A4 storybook lay-flat photo album, with a luxurious genuine leather cover in your choice of colour
- 50 x thank you cards, personalised with your choice of image

£1495

Hope that helps! 😊

I think another important factor is not only price, but that you get on well with you photographer! If you feel awkward it will show in your photos, so for the most natural, relaxed and beautiful photos make sure your photograph is someone you have a great rapport with!

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Mine is 750 for whole day and he's an excellent photographer in our area.
They all offer discounts at bridal fayres

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I’m paying £650 full day including pics of the bridal party getting ready up until about 7/8ish x

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I’m a wedding photographer and know a number of other wedding photographers too. It does depend on your areas but for someone to do a really excellent job you’re looking at over the £1k mark, probably more. You have to remember that it isn’t just one days work for a photographer - there’s an awful lot of prep that goes into the day beforehand, and then a lot of work to get your photos looking perfect afterwards too. Plus the thousands spent on the equipment, training and insurance needed to ensure they’ve done a great job. Some photographers who are either starting out or doing it as a job on the side might be cheaper, but I’d question the quality of their work and if they’re paying things like insurance.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I've got two photographers for the day and he's awesome and it's £1000. Alan Gibson - he did my cousins wedding and was amazing!

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I found this so hard to work out to get the right balance. You do have to part with a fair amount to get good quality, but some photographers out there charge ridiculous amounts. I don’t know where in UK you are based but I have to recommend our photographer James Thomas Photography from Essex. He was reasonably priced, the pictures were AMAZING!!!! And he’s just a generally nice guy.

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

£1000 for two photographers from prep to first dance! With all digital and two albums! Catch studios photography are brilliant!!

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

Hi, please get in touch and i'd be happy to run through some options with you. jamesthomasphotography.co.uk I specialise in creative wedding photography and would be very happy to help answer any questions you have.

Save the date imagery....jo Spurr....highly recommend

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

I’m paying £2100 for mine, although I’ve got a bloody brilliant discount on it! You get what you pay for, but you pay for what you can afford. It’s one of the things I refused to compromise on as it’s the thing that will be there to remind you of the day FOREVER!! There are some fantastic photographers out there so shop about. Congrats x

UKbride Member 28 Jan 2020

We've got our photographer Hamish Irvine all day for £1500. That includes bride and groom preparations right up to the last person leaving at the end. Plus a leather bound printed photo album. We chose him because he does very natural shots as opposed to the traditional posing shots. I guess you would need to think about the type of photos you want first and go from there.

UKbride Member 29 Jan 2020

Brogan Jay Photography she's awesome!
