Flower Costs

Hi there ! I've got a question about flowers ! We've been given a quote of £370.00 for the Brides bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquet, a flowergirl bouquet, 9 buttonholes and 3 corsages, and delivery to our venue and hotel (about 30 miles away) - Is this expensive? Or is this about right, I have no idea ! Many thanks :)

id say thats about right tbh

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

I was going to say that’s a bargain x

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

Too expensive. Use Lincolnshire wedding flowers. Silk flowers. Prefer for life. Gorgeous things. For mine, 5 bridesmaids, 9 button holes and a chest corsage I was £100 including delivery

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

I’d say that’s cheap hun

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

I think that’s a good deal

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

Id say as a florist that sounds pretty average if not a great deal! X

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

Think it’s good price xx

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

It depends where you are but that is a bargain down here (Watford) go for it!

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

We did them much cheaper but got them from the market and did them ourselves

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

Yep that's cheap!

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

Absolute bargain.

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

That sounds like a great deal. My wedding flowers cost £350 wholesale, and my mum made all the bouquets and button holes, as well as arrangements for the church.
If they had have been ordered from a florist it would have been close to £1000, and that wasn’t me being fancy 🙂

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

Think I only spent £100 on a brides, maid of honour 2 young bridesmaids and about 50 button holes because I opted for a foam rose when I got married the flowers where all out of season that I liked (middle of winter) x

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

I’m a florist and that sounds cheaper than what most of us charge. You’ve got a good deal there.

UKbride Member 17 Jan 2020

UKbride Member 18 Jan 2020

UKbride Member 18 Jan 2020

Go for it! I was quoted over £600 for brides bouquet, five bridesmaids bouquets and 10 buttonholes. So I decided to go to this flower stall and they’ve quoted me £120 for the same order, they said that as soon as you mention “wedding” to everyone, they add additional costs on the price. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Congratulations on your wedding xxx

UKbride Member 18 Jan 2020

We got quoted 1700 we went artificial in the end and I have done all the flowers and venue for 250 and we get to keep them.

UKbride Member 19 Jan 2020

I bought mine from Ebay they were £20 something and the were ade from Alice in wonderland's book. It was very in keeping since I got married in the middle of the Forrest on a waterfall and since it was raining we ended up signing the papers and eating cake at the "teahut"

UKbride Member 19 Jan 2020

If something is too good to be true ....it usually is! Avoid like the plague, at that price you will not get what you are expecting or imagine unless your expectations are low 🤔

UKbride Member 19 Jan 2020

We really can't say as we don't know what that florist has quoted for. Every florist will be coming up with a price based on their own ideas, creativity and designs. You should maybe get a couple of other quotes from people whose work you like and then make a decision based on their price, how much you like their ideas and how much you get on with them. As well as some past reviews on their social media pages.

Comparisons with silk or paper 'flowers' are not fair comparisons at all as they're a completely different product so really aren't helpful to you.

UKbride Member 20 Jan 2020

Great price.
We got married a year ago and we paid £85 brides bouquet, £50 bridesmaids bouquet, £6.50 for groom/ bestman and mothers buttonholes (v fancy), £3.50 for everyone else's (less fancy), £40 delivery.
