My sister did little cellophane bags with 5 haribo sweets in. Cheap yet everyone loved them.

We got chocolate hearts and little bags and made them up ourselves. Most get left so don’t spend a lot on them

UKbride Member 16 Jan 2020

We did magnets which were heart shaped and said thank you for coming with our wedding date. We got them on eBay for a decent price and there's loads of there for every budget

UKbride Member 16 Jan 2020

We got charity badges for a charity very close to our hearts so even if they were left (which some were) at least something good came from them.

UKbride Member 16 Jan 2020

Depends on you budget... I did organisa bag with personalised love harts in. They had put name, wedding date and ‘thank you for coming to our wedding’. Then I put 2 other normal love harts. They were affective and not very expensive. Xxx

*for the kids we have made little bags with colouring stuff, bubbles, foam models, sweets etc

UKbride Member 16 Jan 2020

We’re buying lots of cancer research pin badges and telling guests that a donation has been made on their behalf. We personally feel that favours often get wasted or end up in the bin! So at least this way we know they’ve gone to a good cause. You also only have to pay a donation for the badges rather than the suggested donation so you can keep costs low. https://shop.cancerresearchuk.org/favour-product/4651

I'm undecided but, my partner wants Scottish themed favours so we were thinking of buying small bottles of irn bru and Tunnocks tea cakes with something else in. Just not definite yet x

I’m making a little gift box for all our guests (only 50 so I’m splashing out a bit) in each box there will be a recipe card for a signature cocktail created by my fiancé that they will have had after the ceremony, and a small bottle of the specialist gin used to make it. Then a gold crown bottle opener for the men, a crystal rose for the ladies, some personalised chocolates with our initials on. All in a wooden box with our wax seal on the top.

We are doing succulents home grown by my mother in law asked people to donate ramekins to put them in after they have finished growing

UKbride Member 16 Jan 2020

We put jelly babies in jars in the middle of the tables for nibbles and then everyone who came to the day part got a white clay heart which I stamped our initials in and the date of our wedding. I put a hole in the hearts and threaded our colour scheme ribbon through it. Brought air dry clay from hobbycraft and had the stamps already. The ribbon was the most expensive thing!

UKbride Member 16 Jan 2020

We’ve bought favour boxes from home bargains (£1 for 10) and I will be making fudge to put inside.

UKbride Member 21 Jan 2020

Hello! 😀 Handing out wedding favours is nice gesture but its not a must.
We’ve had many couples these days who have done away with them simply because they either gave back in different ways such as paying for the full bar, 1st drink token.

You be surprised how much of the favours get left behind.

Should you wish to less is more to bring the cost down depending on your colour scheme. Something as little as a ferrero roche pinned by a cocktail stick to a table name could be enough or mini champagne bottles, cocktail shakers, doughnuts, macaroons and cocktail kits would be great ideas.

Hope this helps xx
