Where is the best place to get a suit for the groom and groomsmen? Also, was anyone else’s partner slow in getting their suit? We get married in4 months and he still hasn’t gone shopping
My husband got his suit 2 weeks before we got married, so 4 months is still plenty of time x
Moss bros to hire or buy. And will have great deals on now. Could be a good thing he waiting 😉
Slaters were amazing, went about 6 weeks before wedding, and picked them up few days before wedding. 4 months is loads of time. x
Where in uk do you live? I know a great place on Nottingham where my husband and his best man got theirs from .
Slaters Menswear are excellent, 7 suits bought 6 weeks before wedding, very reasonable prices.
My hubby did it 3 weeks before the wedding at Slaters not sure how many shops they have we got 6 suits jacket, pants, shirt, tie and shoes all for £550to keep xx
Mine was slow, probably got it like 2 months before the wedding. But slow is his middle name to be honest so I’m used to it. I think he got it from Moss Brothers but I wasn’t allowed to know beforehand as he was keeping it secret. Was a bit nervous about it as he hasn’t got the best sense of style but luckily it was ok in the end (thank god he picked a well dressed best man 😂😂😂).
Matalan is where hubbys best man my son and my dad got theirs from
We get married in 4mo ths and my other half hasnt even thought about them. X
We are using slaters
We hired them - easier doesn't matter if you would never wear it again. We bought our own shirts, cufflinks, ties and shoes.
Burton! Great quality and they always do offers. We got 3 piece suit and shoes for £120!
We get married in 4 months and hes going suit shopping next month
Next sale....2 suits and shirts less than £100
We went to Slaters absolutely amazing service, we are getting married abroad in May so have to go back middle of March when their lighter summer suits are in but told that won’t be a problem at all as any alterations will be done in a week!
Mine got his couple days before 🙈
We getting ours from Debenhams - youngs hire 😊
F
Neither has mine. Don't worry too much x
We marry on April and my fiance hasn't chosen a best man let alone got suits yet. I think he was going to do it online at moss bros. That way all our men can go to their local for fitting rather than having to get them all up here together as they all live far away.
Mine got his 6 days before our wedding 😂
My husband and his groomsmen got theirs from slaters (bham store) ... good quality free alterations and they all got to keep their suits ...we found it alot cheaper to buy from them compared to some of the prices places charge to hire
We get married mid april and we got them last weekend x
We get married in less than 4 months and there's still no groom, best man or dad's outfit! We're going to Slaters for my dad and for the mens trousers, the rest is being bought online from alternative stores and I'm trusting that he'll get it sorted in time.
Moss bros - the grooms suit was free when we bought others... am I the only bride who went with her h2b suit shopping 🤣🤣
Master Debonair
Ours were from debenhams and they looked amazing and yes he was late going shopping for them also. I think it's a man thing 😂
All 10 of our party have them from next ordered online next day delivery and lovely suits everyone is happy getting the shoes, belts and ties from there too x x x
Slaters are fab!
We get married in 6 weeks and he hasn't got his suit yet. Going for it in two weeks. Will be going to Slaters. 4 months is loads of time for a guy to get a suit. Totally different to us and our dresses
My husband used Moss Bros bespoke so he could have the design elements he wanted, I was with him as he wanted my input. Even has our initials and wedding date embroidered inside. He put the order in on the day of my last dress fitting, so around 6 weeks before our wedding. It took some nudging from me though!! Good luck x
When I first married my then hubby got his suit from Asda as we hardly had any money and my son wore his uniform black trousers and white shirt with an adults black tie as couldn’t get one for kids (was 4)
Andy Richards
My husband got suits from debenhams bout a month to 5 weeks before as he had ro get his dad and miy dads suit too
Moss bros went 4 months before couldn’t stop smiling in the shop I was with him xxx
All depends on where you live, by me we have a place called black tie and that’s where we are hiring suits from, you can hire everything from them
Slaters. They recommended looking in April for a July wedding because the suits would be a lighter material 👍 men's suits dont really need any alterations, unlike our dresses! X
Slaters or Moss bros are brilliant ❤️
We only gave ourselves 4 months to plan the wedding so he couldn't really be slow, but he bought within 2 months of booking the wedding. As long as he has his suit etc for the day it's fine :)
My partner is off too choose his suits this Saturday ready for our September wedding because our friends got married 2 years ago we know a great place that does the entire suit plus shoes and cuff links for £89 each (hired) x
Ebay and he looked amazing. :D
We are getting married in six and a half weeks... my partner is going suit shopping today 😂 that’s mainly because we wanted to get matching for him and our one year old son! Babies grow so quickly so we waited until now x
We got our suits from formally yours suits were amazing and so was the customer service. They drop them off and pick them up too https://www.formallyyours.co.uk/
My husband got his from Moss Bros on hire, we got married end of March and he did the shopping at the start of Feb 😂
Depends what kind of suit your after. We are going to next to buy ours x
Every single one of my outfits for my wedding was got in charity shops
Unless you are hiring and want something very specific he could go the week of the wedding and still be ok. Dont panic xx
My husband went about 3 weeks before wedding god it was stressful
Slaters are amazing. Depending on the suit you want it may be best to buy there also as there are some great inexpensive tailored buys x
My husband used Debenhams, and ordered his suit 3 weeks before the wedding. He also picked a suit I burst out laughing when I saw him in it (tails, penguin suit), because he’d picked it without me. I told him not to get that style! Luckily Debenhams swapped it out very quickly and he picked up his suit 3 days before the wedding.....
We used a suit hire. We had 4 months to plan and book everything. Think he left it to around 3 months to book the suit. Picked it up a week before, and had it till a week after xx
Slaters
We went to a wedding last year and my partner got him suit from Matalan. Jacket, Waistcoat, Trousers, Shoes, Belt, Tie and Pocket Square for £100-£120.
Yep I keep nagging him we get married in 4 months too
My husband went to next. His best man too, best man is a ridiculously bulky guy and there was ONE suit jacket in his size in the whole country. He ordered the suits less than a month before the wedding and collected the week before. It was the cause of a lot of stress for me 😂
We hired ours from slaters they were brilliant. My husband's best man is a rocker had bright pink hair he partied that hard he had to change because he dyed the suit pink. They didn't say anything when we returned them to the shop x
Mine didn't get his until 2 weeks before our wedding
We got married in August amd my husband starting looking for his suits the end of march and hired them locally. They then had a fitting in june and a final fitting a week before the wedding and thats when we picked up the suits.
We have been in together and looked and paid deposit with local independent suit hire. Very well recommended and attentive.
Then he went with groomsmen to look and we need to go in and finalise it.
But he has asked me to help. Which I'm good with. He will look handsome whatever Xx
We get married in 5 months
Moss bros
