You haven't booked a venue yet?!

UKbride Member 7 Jan 2020

You get married in 4 months and you have no venue or dress? I get married in 3 and have had it all sorted for over a year. My anxiety would be through the roof 🤦🏻‍♀️

I get married in 12 weeks eeekkk

UKbride Member 7 Jan 2020

😂 I sorted my entire wedding in6 weeks. Don’t worry just keep ploughing through (though I have to admit our venue took most of the stress and helped me sort everything)

I get married in a June and I’m stressing over not having ties for the groom/groomsmen 😂 how are you staying so calm? 😂

UKbride Member 7 Jan 2020

I have a friend who did all hers in 8 weeks. Anything is doable, you've just got to be desisive. I think sometimes the lack of time stops you spending money on unneeded extras. Good luck x

I'm 129 days....pretty much all sorted :-)

UKbride Member 7 Jan 2020

124 days for me 🥰

We get married in 26 days and just the suit, shoes, tie to get. Waiting for my personalised shoes to come in, florist has been sending pics of my bouquets, last few decorations have come in etc. Venue is biggest thing to sort - I'd do that first x (we went with a package deal at our local town hall xx)

If you don’t have your dress I would suggest getting that asap (unless you’re doing an off the shelf). My dance and I were engaged for 5 years, then booked our wedding with 5 months to do everything. I was really laid back about it and we went to a wedding fayre all the wedding dress people kept telling me I needed to get in ASAP as a lot of dresses take 6 months. I went that week and got told it would be tight but they could do it, with my dress getting in after Christmas. We get married on the 31st of this month and I’ve not even had a fitting yet 😱! I had no idea a dress would take so long. Good luck with it all! X

You haven't sorted your dress yet? Omg. I started looking in August and so glad i did cos i ended up having a custom-made dress. Having my final fitting in Feb. We marry in April. We booked our venue last March, my mum ordered our cake in November. How are you not stressed beyond belief?

UKbride Member 7 Jan 2020

If you haven’t got a venue booked you’ll be looking at a cancellation, your dress will be off the peg, so shop for it super soon to have time for fittings. I planned our wedding 18 months before so I could guarantee our preferred suppliers. How are you not stressing! I had spreadsheets, folders etc. PM me if you need help xx

Just thought, if you don’t have a venue booked yet, you may struggle to find a registrar too. Good luck x

I get married in oct and my wedding is only on paper. I planned it a in 10 days now I just have to pay for it. I know my venue will be available because it's a weird date, I'm not getting my dress till late August, I'm not stressed at all. Do it at your own pace and dont get super stressed over everything. What's important is that everyone you love is there and you and h2b have a good day. Congrats on your wedding! I hope it's perfect ❤

UKbride Member 8 Jan 2020

That's fine! I planned my wedding in three months.

My best advice would be to find a venue that does it all in one place! And that offers as much as possible! Keep it simple xx

UKbride Member 8 Jan 2020

No dress for me either and I get married in May.
There is no set way you have to do things, it's your wedding!
I would definitely focus on securing the venue first

59 days for me 😍 just ordering the last few bits and paying for everything now 🙈

UKbride Member 8 Jan 2020

I dont get married til.next year, I pretty much have it planned in my head so I will likely have it all sorted by the end of this year hahaha xxx

UKbride Member 8 Jan 2020

this question is mine.. umm considering its a registry office wedding, so i dont need to worry a lot, cause everything is done.. and considering ukbrides has delayed posting my post.. i have already sorted out my cake and venue.. and the dress will be 2nd hand anyway.. no point spending thousands of pounds on a dress for one day..

UKbride Member 8 Jan 2020

As long as registrar or church is booked I wouldn't stress about the rest. It'll come together and it'll be perfect. As long as you enjoy the day and it's not taken over by stressing and worrying then that's all that matters. I'm married in June and I don't have anything other that the registry office book. And I'm certainly not bothered is my dress is "off the peg". Hope you have a great day xx

Wow most start planning a year for

UKbride Member 8 Jan 2020

I get married next year and I basically have rings, suits, flowers, favours and transport to sort out. How have you not panicked? I was literally emailing my venue asking about when to sort out our menu and thinking about when to pay off what things. Good luck getting it all sorted!

UKbride Member 9 Jan 2020

I bought mine at 15 weeks before the wedding.... we had 16 weeks to plan the whole wedding lol xx
