Present ideas

I'd like to get my Groom a gift for on our wedding day. He loves his watches but thinking I want to get him something a bit different. What are you planning on getting your other half, if anything, on your wedding day?

We are not getting presents for each other because of getting married. We don't do presents at all as a rule and prefer to do things together, like a day out, date night, a holiday or ...a wedding party! So theres no point for me. I'd prefer to put the money towards a honeymoon we will both love instead

I was going to get him a personalized cake in his own flavour. I dont like alot of cake so we will be having a normal Victoria sponge cake. I was going to get him white chocolate and raspberry. But decorate it in a theme of an anime he likes

I got my hubby a box and filled it with the following...
Brand new socks, pair of blue CK boxers, some silver engraved cufflinks saying the time and date of wedding on one, and the other saying see you at the alter at 3. Also got a antique looking pocket watch engraved with 'No measure of time with you is long enough.... But let's start with forever'.. A quote from the Twilight films (our fave films, plus our wedding theme was based around it) Also got him a bottle of Jo Malone cologne, and a beautiful card I had made xx

I have a box like the groomsmen for h2b but he also has a good watch he no longer wears because I bought him a new one but I'm thinking about getting his gold one cleaned up and engraved on the back just for the wedding day xx

We both love clothes from a website called Last Exit to Nowhere. We've already had this discussion and said we will get each other a hoody. It's something we will wear loads and means something to both of us, and it's not majorly expensive x

My husband got 3 watches total. 🙈 I did him a groom box with two watches that I knew he wanted. His mum bought him a watch from the year he was born which is lovely. I put aftershave and caramel vodka in his box to calm his nerves. In the morning when we were all getting ready, his bestman came up to give me my gift and my MOH took his down to him. It was such a lush moment ❤

I got a groom survival kit from Amazon, ladybird "the husband" book, got a small tin on mints engraved with his name and the date, boxers with "property of Mrs Sherrington" on them, socks for him to wear which said "the groom...so you don't get cold feet" and disney cufflinks to wear on the day. Wasn't expensive but just a couple of little things for the morning. Also wrote him a poem to read in the morning, which cost nothing except time!

I didn’t give him anything on the day but afterwards I bought him driving lessons! 🚘 On the day itself, I hide 10 little notes in the case his suit came in so when he opened it on the morning of our wedding he found handwritten little pick me ups! I tied them all to his suit buttons and hid them in his shoes etc!

UKbride Member 14 Nov 2019

I did mine a little box of gifts - personalised cuff links with little wording on I wrote, mints for my minty fresh kiss, mini bottle of champagne to calm the nerves, a picture of us, and other little bits I can’t remember xx

UKbride Member 14 Nov 2019

I bought my hubby items from Rusty Rooster for our garden (he loves to be outdoors) each item had an individual note that had personal significance to our relationship.

UKbride Member 14 Nov 2019

I love the idea of a box of things. I already found a card that says welcome to your happy ever after. Things that he can use on the day; i was hoping to find some socks that say groom on them, cufflinks, aftershave etc. and a few little silly things like chocolate boobs and a mini bottle of rum (his favourite tipple).

I’m having a raunchy lingerie shoot done and I’ll give him the pictures on the morning of our wedding with a card saying “just one reason why you are marrying me” 😂😂😂I just hope he doesn’t open it in front of my dad and our teenage son..😂😂😂

UKbride Member 15 Nov 2019

I did a box of gifts with one of them being a personalised pocket watch. They all had tags on saying things such as "so you don't get cold feet" for a pair of socks, etc x

UKbride Member 15 Nov 2019

My H2B loves watches too. I was thinking a pocket watch but I want something he can actually wear so I'm thinking of getting him a regular watch but get it engraved with the date or something like that. And new aftershave so whenever he wears it, it will remind him of our wedding. X

I am hoping to manage to get a signed strip from the football club we both love and frame it for him. Xxx

UKbride Member 16 Nov 2019

I bought mine some cuff links with our initials on and a Man Utd shirt with 22 and November on the back (our wedding date)

UKbride Member 18 Nov 2019

I'm planning to get a pocket watch for him, I'm going to ask one of the bridesmaids to give it to him just before we get married with a little love note with it saying I can't wait to see him and miss him so much. As I won't be seeing him until its our wedding day and staying at a hotel the night before we get married.😊👰💒
