I had all my dresses in vintage style with lace and was to the knees bridesmaids where similar to xx

We had a dinosaur themed wedding to keep the groom happy 🤣

Were having a big bang theory themed wedding. All songs from the show, ball pool scene cake, BAZINGA letters, atoms for centre pieces, characters for table names, themed soaps as favours and bbt shoes and nails xxx

The night before the wedding, I was very carefully pressing my dress with a damp tea towel. The iron slipped just a fraction, but enough to melt a hole! After lots of hysterical sobbing and swearing, my intended said: "Please don't shout at me, but why not cover it with one of my punk patches?" I threw my arms around him and gave him a HUGE kiss! I think it made the dress. Such a happy accident!

So my aisle decorations are black lanterns and my fiancé’s favourite Lantern Corp from the DC universe is the black lanterns which are made up all all DC characters who had died (regardless of whether they had been resurrected or not).
So we are taking out the candles from the lanterns and replacing them with gold glitter skulls which will have names for each superhero that became a black lantern corp member.
In the evening they will decorate the Buffett table with some LED lights on them to turn them into glitter balls 😊

We had an illusionist, make your own candy floss popcorn machine, garden games I.e suction archery, skittles, velcro darts, hoopla, beanbags xx

We had a beach theme (due to name and that our first date was at a place called the Beeches which is where we had our evening reception)
Fish and chip mini specials and donuts in the afternoon.
Table decor and cake and sweet Cart all based on seaside. Gifts for children were buckets and spades filled with rock etc :)

We had fruit bowl centre pieces, a speeches sweepstake with prizes, giant lego and bubbles for kids (and big kids) during drinks reception and a round top table

We're having a masquerade themed, unplugged Wedding at our local town hall x

Tv & film themed with a sprinkle of Xmas this Sunday 😍😍😍

Wedding speech bingo, I can't wait to hear someone shout bingo and put someone off their speech lol

I had little dream catchers at my wedding as ceiling decorations, they were adorable and really finished the room off lovely

We had a sailing/sea theme with succulents for flowers and table decorations. My friend made me some beautiful glass bunting to hang in the windows. Each table name was a famous boat or ship....We even had Boaty McBoatface and Pugwashes Black Pig 🤣 I had secretly sewn silver charms of our star signs Pisces and Cancer (both sea creatures)!! on the side of the skirt of my dress that was a lovely surprise for my hubby and friends when they saw them

We have made our wedding very personal to us. My cousin is a celebrant so she is going to do our ceremony. We are having paper instead of real flowers as I make them Stems from Paper. My sister and her husband are going to sing. We have a busker for our day music. I have a best man as well as bridesmaids and my partner has both a best man and best woman. Lots of other little bits that make it personal to us. X

I suppose our whole wedding was ‘unusual’ to most people !

Autumn theme. Pinecones, trees, logs and rock theme

My groom & the groomsmen will be wearing jeans cowboy boots and cowboy hats for our wedding

We got married in lapland and spent our wedding night in a thermal igloo ️

We are having a ‘mad hatters tea party’ reception. I have made my invitations out of playing cards

I love succulents and cacti, so I am having them in my bouquet and table decorations 😁🌵

Going with a Wonderland woodland kind of theme. Subtle (and not so subtle) nods to Alice in Wonderland here and there...and magpies to keep my Newcastle supporting fiance happy too
