I started my wedding prep/planning on Pinterest. Just typed in wedding related things and saved what I was drawn too on a board. Then looked at different colour schemes and the time of year I wanted to get married. My dream wedding has changed from a big barn wedding in my home town in Tamworth, 100 people to a small intimate wedding in devon 14 guests only. So give yourself time to enjoy the process of planning and creating. Dont feel rushed or pushed into things. It's OK to change your mind on things and remember it's you and your fiancé day, people may suggest things but ultimately if your not sure then don't commit. Look into costs and how they vary from time of year and if they fit into your budget. Just have fun! Xx

Our wedding is Beauty and the beast themed, that was H2B idea and I loved it. Maybe ask your H2B if he has any ideas of how he sees the big day.

My dream wedding and my actual wedding were very different because of budget, but actually our day could not have been more perfect ☺️💕 As suggested above, Pinterest is great! 😊

Budget is the first thing. Venue, can registrar etc do the date? Everything else kind of just fits in.

Establish budget first, then venue, then guest list, the rest kind of follows

I decided I wanted a local wedding. I wanted something, as relatives were travelling quite a distance, that would almost showcase the area I live in. I live in the Lake District so am quite lucky really. Abroad looked like a lovely idea but some family members would not travel. Things like this you have to think about. Figure out a bogey. How much are you realistically wanting to spend. Do you want it in one location or several. We had one location as it was easier. Also it was easier to plan as well. It was amazing on the day as it was so relaxing. Get a scrap book and look at ideas. Go to wedding fairs. Think about other people’s wedding and what you liked or disliked. Research research research. It is a daunting task but it will come together in the end. Good luck. Xxx

Just go to some bridal shops and try lots of different styles to get an idea of what you actually like and what suits you. I didn't want to do that but my bridesmaid persuaded me. I gave them an idea of my size and what I thought I wanted and fell in love with a dress, it actually brought me to tears! Good luck with your search x

I set up a new email address sent all ideas to it from my own account, I got a wedding planning book. Work our a budget and go from there. Also as this day and age is very much so digital send invites online/email from that new email address and rsvp back to it! This will save a load on invites rsvp cards and postage then maybe give paper invites to close family and friends in person. But go off of your budget first! Also if your into diy and have Instagram there’s a girl called DIYBUDGETBRIDE and she shows you how she made all her wedding decor accessories etc might be worth looking to for inspiration x

Look at what you and your H2B's interests are. Are there any similarities - do you want traditional or themed etc.

Check out Pinterest and google for ideas and you'll start noticing the themes you like as they keep popping up

We started by finding the church we wanted and the reception venue for the reception. After that it all kind of falls into place. Go for what makes you happy simple or fancy or somewhere in between
