Is there much of a difference between having a Celebrant to a Registrar? Please share your experiences. Thanks

We have a celebrant. She'll sign the license then we have to take it to the registry office to officially register our marriage. A celebrant can perform a ceremony almost anywhere.

We just got married on saturday (in Scotland we are Scottish) we used a humanist the whole service is about you and you journey and was awsome most humanists can marry as did ours, it's a personal services which a regiatar wont do. However I dont know where in the UK you are your local laws may be different.
As mentioned above you pick up and return your licence your self.

Anyone can get a certificate online to perform a wedding (my friend has one lol). It’s not legally binding, he did it as a joke, I’ve been through church wedding and divorce, and I am remarrying after some worry lol. If it’s legal, you’ll have no problem, id be wary after what I went through with my ex 😅

Depending if you are getting married in Scotland or England there are differences as to whether the celebrant is a legal ceremony so worth looking into so you don't have to get married/pay twice. We've been looking into this as we live in England and are getting married in Scotland!!
