Plus size dress with sleeves

I really hate my arms, I mean I've had massive bingo wings since I was a teenager, no amount of exercise seems to work. Are any of you plus size bride's having a dress with sleeves? I'd love too but unsure if the lace would fit.

You can also buy inserts to wear under a dress with lace sleeves. Have a look on amazon or bridal stores. They look lovely xxx

I'm worried about my arms and have thought about maybe getting a bolero or shrug to go over my dress because I struggle with tight sleeves.

Look at sleeveless dresses and then a 'pop over'. My bridal shop was really helpful. I actually ended up going for strapless and sleeveless and then had a pink cardigan I put on for the meal

I have the same problem but have decided to go with a large shawl or long sleeve bridal cardigan.

I am not having sleeves. I tried a dress with sleeves and my arms wouldnt fit. I found a gorgous sleevless dress which i love. When u try on dresses keep an open mind and try ones with sleeves and no sleeves.

You can absolutely have sleeves that fit. Inserts, bolero or capelets, even a shawl made from lace can also work. Ask the shop for options or look online. You will find something gorgeous. If you're going for a summer date, something removable might be best. You've got this x

I've large arms my bingo wings wobble and wobble along with me. I was going yo try and hide them but my dress is so pretty I've decided to stick my chins out and stride with pride and my bingo wings flapping he loves me for me bingo wings and all. If they flapping then you list some weight from them. That's how I look at it.
Some seamstresses do brilliant jobs of adding sleeves

I dont like my arms so was looking for sleeves. But when i tried the one on you dont even notice. Aslong as u get the right lady that helps you find your dress you wont be bothered xx

I have awful bingo wings but I knew I didn’t want a sleeved dress. It’s not what people will see.

You should pick a dress because you love it not because it covers bits up etc

Remember your other half is marrying you because they love you the way you are x

I fought a lace jacket thing that went over the top and buttoned up the back. I had to buy one three sizes bigger than my dress and have it taken in to accommodate my boobs though!

I had a lace bolero jacket with short sleeves, over the top of mine and it looked lovely. You can get 3/4 sleeves too

My dress was originally sleeveless, but I wanted to cover my bingo wings. I bought some chiffon and the seamstress added split sleeves, really glad I did xx

I'm having lace tulle sleeves on mine, that only go over the tops of my arms

Just try whatever you are comfortable with 💜

I had cape style sleeves added to my dress that was sleeveless. I didn’t want clingy sleeves but didn’t want to have a jacket/bolero and cover the detail on the back of my dress. Seamstresses can work wonders. Ours made my cape sleeves out of off cuts she had in the shop. Matched the rest of the lace detail perfectly and didn’t cost the earth. Xx

Watch the programme curvy brides, it's so inspiring. Alot of the ladies on there end up having a tulle sleeve that cover just the tops of their arms and its enough to make them feel comfortable. It's given me hope as a curvy girl that i WILL find a dress that makes me feel amazing even though I'm on the curvy side x

I bought a sleeveless dress and had a fantastic dress maker alter to add top and sleeves. She matched all the lace and patterns of the actual dress.

I had my seemstress add sleeves to my dress, i ordered lace from the dress manufacturer so that it all matched. I would never have been comfortable with my bingo wings out.

I had short sleeves because of the same. My twin had full sleeves, it was more like a jumper she put over it. Both lace, both great. I love lace! Maybe you can get like a bolero or a shrug done in lace

Yes! Do it. I love a dress with sleeves. Or wear a shawl/bolero/pashmina.

I originally liked the idea of having sleeves on my wedding dress as I hate my arms, but for me it just made my hips and everything else look wider and un proportioned
Obviously different body shapes work much better with different dresses, but in the end I had a strapless dress and dont regret it xx

I am having 3/4 length lace sleeves, my dress is being made-to-measure. Found it really difficult ti getva well fitting dress in shops and have narrow shoulders but big boobs and all my weight sits at the front so i still have a waist at the sides.

The dress I ordered was sleeveless but my seamstress has been in touch with the Australian designer and is purchasing material to handmake the sleeves for me. Anything is possible x
