question - Registry Office Wedding - aftermath unsure what happens at either registry/church wedding. what happens after you sign the certificate, do you take it with you, or do they post it to you.

They give it to you on the day. We got our best man to look after ours for us x

They do give it to you. My mum looked after ours. If you have asked for a copy, it gets mailed to you afterwards..

We asked for two copied and were given both on the day, I can't remember who looked after them but when we got to our evening venue we put then in a post box with all of our cards

We got married at the hotel we had our reception at. We were presented with 2 hand written copies at the end of the ceremony then had 2 smaller typed copies posted to us which were to use if needed to send off for name changes

We paid for 2 and was given to us straight away, my mum looked after them

We got married in a registry office and they gave it to us just after we signed the registry, but before we left the ceremony.
