I want to marry my girlfriend but finding it hard to get the money together as I work and she has invisible illnesses and can’t work and is registered as disabled and I want her to have a fairytale wedding as she so deserves a break

Find out if anyone is willing to loan or give dresses, shoes, suites, table decorations. Reduce costs wherever possible.

I had a fairy tale wedding. Had 9 guests, with the registrar, and had an outdoor wedding. My dress was from M&S and my daughter's was from Amazon. My shoes were from Ebay and so were the flowers, I had a paper bouquet, that I still have, and I ordered a cake from M&S as well. All together, with the registrar, was less than £800. You don't need to provide a party to have a fairy tale wedding. You just need your partner and a registrar. The rest is superficial. Make it outdoors, have just a cake and maybe some bubbly for the guests. Have your favourite song while you walk down the aisle and the rest is history

Everyone had different ideas what a fairytale wedding is .. you don't need to spend £25k which in my opinion is ludicrous ... you can still make it a dream day x

What’s the question? This sounds like a Go Fund Me bio

Get married on a week day. Do all your own decorating.
The only thing I would recommend paying full price for is the photographer.
Get her dress in a sample sale OR second hand. It’s about the people who are by your side on the day & not all the extras.

Think of all your friends and what their skills are...Can anyone bake? Is anyone good at decorations? Catering etc? It's about you two and your promise to each other not about diamond encrusted invitations!! Happy planning x

Have you proposed yet or are the money worries stopping you? I think the best thing you can do is talk to her to see what her expectations are. She will be as much aware of your financial situation as you are and may not want the big fairytale wedding. My husband and I were in a similar less-than-ideal financial situation but we wanted to be married and share our lives together. I would have hated to bankrupt us or wait for years on the basis of some big do we couldn't afford. She may just want you! There are also loads of tips for how to do a lovely wedding at much cheaper cost. For instance go with off-season, be savvy with traders, etc. Lots of tips out there. Good luck!

It doesn't matter what kind of wedding you have its not about the money it about spending the rest of your life with the person you love me and my partner are getting married next year after ten years together we paid a little off our wedding each month just what we can afford just work out a budget it doesn't have to be a big thing it's all about the both of you and no one else

I just got married at the weekend, there were only 16 people including me, my husband and 4 kids, we only had a small ceremony and a meal so didn't spend silly amounts of money and it was perfect, I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better day, at the end of the day I married the man I love I the presence of the people most important to us which made it my "fairytale wedding"

Me and my husband got married at our local registry office (their cheapest package) and had a nice family meal afterwards. For us it was perfect and the best day ever because we got married not because of sashes on chairs or what the DJ played at the evening do. You both make it special with your vows and promises to each other. Sending lots of love and positive wishes for the wedding of your dreams to you both xXx

Be prepared to do lots & lots of saving.i grabbed all over time possible & worked my day off in the week to ensure we was getting the day we wanted.A wedding can be as cheap as you want it to be,your still getting same results as an expensive wedding.good luck

You could always go for something like ‘shh don’t tell the bride’ where you get £14,000 to spend on a wedding and 3 weeks to do it in.
